Building on the success of the 2022 competition, Bright Raven Gymnastics East is excited to host
the 2023 New York State Men’s Gymnastics Championships at our state of the art 28,000 square
foot facility in Victor, NY. We will again be working with Fine Designs for custom state meet
apparel and hosting a social gathering for all coaches and judges on Saturday night. We look
forward to seeing you in March!

Dates: Friday, Saturday & Sunday, March 17-19, 2023

Venue: Bright Raven Gymnastics East
       62 School St.
       Victor, NY 14564

        The competition will be held in our state of the art gymnastics facility (opened July 2020) with
        floor levels and mezzanine seating for spectators. There will be fully catered coaches & judges
        hospitality.

Tentative Schedule: The final schedule will be set by February 15th and posted on the Bright Raven
website (www.brightravengym-east.com) and emailed to participating gyms. There will be a maximum
of seven sessions during the weekend. All sessions will utilize a Modified Capital Cup Format. Junior Club
Track gymnasts will ideally be included in analogous compulsory level sessions (Bronze & Silver w/L3,
Gold w/L4, Platinum w/L5).

Equipment: One full set of AAI Elite equipment & FIG spec matting to support a Modified Capital Cup
competition. Ultradome style mushrooms.
Entry Information:

       All gymnast and coach entries will be made through the USAG Meet Reservation System. Coaches
       who are not entered through the USAG Meet Reservation System will have to show their current
       USAG credentials at the meet. Entries must be made by January 31st, 2023 on the USAG Meet
       Reservation System. At that time, if you still have unregistered athletes and would like to try to
       get them in the meet, send an email to meet director Karl Jaanimagi (jaanik@alum.rpi.edu). Late
       entries will ONLY be admitted to the meet if there is room in the session. Scratches will be allowed
       until March 1st with a full refund, so if you are not sure about a gymnast, enter him. After March
       1st there will be no refunds except for injury (with a doctor’s excuse) or gymnasts who did not
       make the qualifying score. Level and Division changes will be allowed up until March 1st.

Entry Fees:

       Entry fees will be $125 for individuals. Payments will need to made with a check made out to
       “Bright Raven Gymnastics” and mailed to Bright Raven Gymnastics, PO Box 24695, Rochester,
       NY 14624. Teams will be entered automatically. Teams will be free of charge. Team awards criteria
       will be determined by February 15th and emailed to all teams.

High School Gymnasts and Graduating Seniors:

       This year, USAG will be recognizing all high school gymnasts and New York State will be
       recognizing all graduating seniors. Please email a list of all your high school aged gymnasts and
       the schools they attend to the meet director. Additionally, please email a photo of all graduating
       seniors the meet director (jaanik@alum.rpi.edu) by January 31st, 2023.

Junior Elite Gymnasts:

       Any JE gymnast registered on the USAG Meet Registration System will be automatically entered
       in the Junior Elite Technical Sequence Session along with the appropriate Optional Session. There
       is no additional entry fee for the Junior Elite Technical Sequence Session. There are no awards for
       Junior Elite Technical Sequences. Technical Sequence competition at the State Championships is
       required for all gymnast that want to enter the JE competition at Regionals.

Qualifying Scores:

       Qualifying scores for the 2023 State Championships are…
               L3D1 = 46.0       L3D2 = 44.0
               L4D1 = 46.0       L4D2 = 44.0
               L5D1 = 46.0       L5D2 = 44.0
               L6D1 = 46.0       L6D2 = 44.0
               L7, L8, L9, L10, Bronze. Silver, Gold, Platinum = No Qualifying Score

       All gymnasts must compete in two NY State Qualifying Invitationals.

       Any petitions must be received by State Chairman Dan Molnar (nyschairman@gmail.com) by
       March 1st, 2023. Please submit the full USA Gymnastics Men’s Program petition form.
Regional VII Championships:     March 30th – April 2nd

        Entries for the Region VII Championships will need to be made on the USAG Meet Reservation
        System immediately following the State Meet. Details are forthcoming. Check the Region VII

State Team Championships:       April 22nd-23rd

The New York State Men’s Gymnastics Championships will serve as the qualifying competition for the
Regional VII State Team Championships. The top ten Level 4 gymnasts (ages 7-11 combined) and the top
ten Level 5 gymnasts (ages 8-12 combined) will represent New York State at the Region VII State Team
Championships. Athletes ranked 11th – 13th in these combined age groups will be named as alternates.
Entries and uniform sizing for the Region VII State Team Championships will need to be made at the
State Meet.

State Meet Apparel:
       All state meet apparel will be available for purchase at the State Championship. Fine Designs will
       again be producing custom 2023 New York State Men’s Gymnastics Championships apparel on-
       site. You will be able to purchase a variety of apparel items with our State Championships logo
       and custom team or individual names.
