Workshops
AT
HOLDEN CLOUGH
The beginning of the year has become a time of self-development and
mindfulness for many - embracing the year ahead and spending time
to indulge in a new skill or hobby. Our courses and workshops will be
situated in The Glass House, with a large zinc table at its heart, perfect
to relax and learn a new skill. There will be approximately eight spaces
available for each course date to keep group numbers small.

RamblersPicnic
As we know in Lancashire the weather is very
changeable and for this there is the saying of
‘There’s no such thing as bad weather, just the
wrong clothes’. So it’s time to get out of your
armchair and bob down to Holden Clough to
enjoy a hearty Ramblers picnic before or after
your walk.

fall in to the categories of: Cottage Garden, White Garden,
Wildlife Friendly and Shade Loving with full growing
instructions and care tips

The Frameyard
AT HOLDEN CLOUGH
Stocked with thousands of home-grown plants from
The Growing Field, all potted by our team of loving
horticulturalists who work tirelessly to feed our customers
appetite for flowers, you will find this beautiful array of
plants displayed in the Frameyard. Laid out and organised
in such a way to allow you to select plants from the
cottage garden favourites, our contemporary and wildlife
friendly selections or maybe plants for a shady corner, you
will easily find the perfect plant for the perfect place.
New For 2022
The Reading Room
Leading on from The Garden Room will be a new area to
enjoy your grub from The Shepherds Hut. A place to sit
and relax by a roaring fire, read the gardening books from
around the room, or the daily newspapers.
Upstairs in The
Pott
ing Shed
The upstairs of The Potting Shed is to be revealed as an airy and light
space with long ranging views of Pendle Hill. As you climb the hand
crafted Oak and Copper Beech staircase you will wonder at the hand-
made branch chandelier that hangs above you, as you look beyond to
the bespoke wrought-iron luminaries created by Oscar Duck Blacksmith,
that dominate the loft area.
The centre of the room allows you a view of the goings-on in the
downstairs shop and we have lots of exciting things planned for our new
upstairs space throughout the year.
The Court
yard
Our stone flagged Courtyard area will open in
February as an outdoor heated covered seating area.
The perfect setting to combine the outdoors with
some grub from The Shepherds Hut.
