PRESENTER INFORMATION Scott Angove - Sport & Life Training (SALT) SALT is a not-for-profit mental health and wellbeing organisation that delivers high quality education sessions into sporting clubs, workplaces and schools. Our aim is to help build mentally resilient people with healthy values who provide positive influences on their teams, workmates, classmates and their broader community. Scott was previously a passionate teacher with a background in delivering health and well-being community programs. Steve Pallas - Sports Community Steve Pallas is the founder and Managing Director of Sports Community. Previously a successful financial services executive and CEO of the Mornington Peninsula Football Netball League, Steve’s passion for grassroots sport and his accumulated knowledge from working with all stakeholders in grassroots sport, since Sports Community’s incorporation in 2012, now places him as an expert in the field. He is in demand as a speaker, a research partner and as a trusted resource for the volunteers and stakeholders that drive Australia’s sports clubs. Fiona Jones - VicSport Fiona has strong skills in sport governance, strategy and organisational culture, she currently assists sport organisations with the implementation of the Victorian Child Safe Standards and Mandatory Board Quotas. She also delivers governance, competition & membership reviews, organisational change projects addressing child safeguarding and gender diversity, as well as developing and facilitating professional development opportunities. Fiona co-convenes Vicsport’s Child Safe Sport Working Group and Community of Practice, as well as the Victorian Children’s Sport Industry Working Group. She was a member of Sport Australia’s Child Protection Sector Consultation Expert Working Group and formerly convened Vicsport’s Diversity and Inclusion Expert Working Group and Women in Sport Advisory Group. David Spark - Leisure Networks Jesse is the Coordinator, Community Development (FFS) - Sport, Recreation and Health at Leisure Networks. Working across greater Geelong, Wyndham and Melbourne to develop and deliver existing and new programs for clubs, associations, and local and state governments to build the capacity and skills of these entities, and promote sport, recreation and heath. Jesses holds a Masters of Business (Sport Management), and Bachelor of Law/Commerce (Distinction) Degree at Deakin University. Andrew McCaskill Andrew is a Level 3 Coach with over 20 years experience coaching including coaching over 250 international games. Since 2006 Andrew has been involved with the National Men's senior and junior programs. Before moving to Victoria in 2017, Andrew also coached State level in Queensland, winning numerous awards. Tanya McInerney Tanya was appointed Melbourne Vipers Women's Head Coach in 2021. Tanya brings a wealth of knowledge with over 30 years of experience as both a coach and as a player within State League and AVL, as well as representing Victoria. Since stepping back from playing and transitioning to coaching, Tanya has been involved at many levels, from High School, Academies, State League, AVL and the National Junior Program.
2021 Affiliate Awards Nominations Now Open! I. Most Outstanding Association Awarded to the Association that is a compliant affiliate who is innovative, progressive and achieves growth through the provision of quality experiences, including for coaches, officials, volunteers and participants II. Most Outstanding Junior Program Awarded to an affiliate that has contributed to the growth and development of junior volleyball in their community through the establishment of an accredited Spikezone or Sporting Schools program. III. Excellence in Coaching Awarded to the individual who has made an outstanding contribution by providing support, development, and growth of coaches and/or athletes within their Club, Association, or Victoria. IV. Volunteer Achievement Award Awarded to an individual who provides outstanding services to volleyball in the areas of administration, officiating, and volunteering at Club, Association or State level. V. Most Outstanding School Awarded to the school that has demonstrated their contribution and achievement in the sport of volleyball across Victoria. VI. Most Outstanding Teacher Awarded to the teacher who provides outstanding leadership and supports growth and development of volleyball in the education sector.
