2021 Parent Payment Arrangements Dear Families, Ardeer Primary School is looking forward to another great year of teaching and learning and would like to advise you of Ardeer Primary School’s parent payment arrangements for 2021. Ardeer Primary School makes every effort to keep the cost of items and activities to a minimum and affordable for all parents. Please find the fee schedule for Years Prep – 6 attached. Credits from unused monies / CSEF from 2020 and the impact of COVID-19 have already been applied to 2021 costs. Financial Support for Families At times, all families can experience financial hardship. We have ways to assist in these circumstances to make school less stressful. If you are experiencing financial hardship, please contact Janette Cronin or John Mifsud to discuss your situation and find out how we can help. You can do this by calling us on 9363 1194, making an appointment to see us face-to-face or by email janette.Cronin@education.vic.gov.au or john.mifsud@education.vic.gov.au Examples of support options, include: ● the Camps, Sports and Excursions Fund ● Developing a payment plan for those families who require support Payments Payment in full is due by February 12th, 2021. Parents who wish to have a payment plan to pay by instalments, need to see us before this date. Payment can be made by ● An Electronic Bank Payment – BSB 063172 ACC No 10126125 ● An EFTPOS transaction at the school ● A CASH payment at the school Refunds Refunds are generally not permitted as funds as have already been committed. If you wish to obtain a refund, please contact the school to discuss your specific circumstances. Ardeer Primary School also continues to welcome your voluntary contributions for 2021 Essential Student Learning Items Below is a list of items and activities which are essential for your child to learn the standard curriculum. You may choose to purchase these items through the school or provide your own. Only the $40 Classroom books/stationery can be purchased externally. If this is your preference, please contact us by December 2nd, and request an itemised list for your child’s grade. Please be aware items purchased externally must be the same size/specifications/quality/quantity as prescribed on the list and will need to remain at school. After December 2nd, it will be assumed all families are ordering through the school. Optional Items Ardeer Primary School offers a range of optional items and activities that are additional to the delivery of the standard curriculum. These items and activities are designed to broaden the school experience for your child. If you would like to purchase an item or activity for your child, please indicate on the table below. Optional Item Amount Optional Items $20 Camping Program P-2 (Sleepover) Camping Program Gr 3-6 TBC $350 approx TOTAL Dependent on participation in the optional programs Voluntary Contributions Ardeer Primary School continues to welcome your voluntary contributions to support our school. You can make a general voluntary contribution that goes towards all of our school’s important priorities for 2021 as well as providing additional activities and services for all students. Alternatively, you can make a voluntary contribution to any of the specific priorities outlined in the table below: Voluntary Contribution Tax Suggested Amount deductible? Voluntary Contribution per family Voluntary Contributions School Council invites a voluntary contribution from each student. This contribution will be used by School Council to provide: ● assistance for other families experiencing hardship ● additional materials and services to improve the buildings and grounds ● additional computers and equipment ● additional programs to benefit students Families may nominate the amount they wish to contribute and any amount would be appreciated. At this time, may we suggest $30 per child or $50 a family TOTAL $ Your child will not be disadvantaged if you do not make a voluntary contribution. All records of voluntary contributions are kept confidential as well as your decision about whether to make a contribution or not. CSEF Applications 3
Families with a Health Care Card can apply for the CSEF. These applications should be completed at the time of arranging payment. (Before the end of Term 1). Families who apply for CSEF and are unsuccessful will be need to pay the full amount for swimming / excursions. Families who have previously received CSEF support through Ardeer PS can have their applications rolled over so long as a new card has not been issued. Reminders A statement for families in arrears will be sent out one per term, in line with the end of the month banking requirements. These may be followed up by a phone call from the principal or assistant principal. Families who are on payment plans may be contacted more regularly as a part of their plan. FINANCIAL HELP FOR FAMILIES ● Schools put in place financial hardship arrangements to support families who cannot pay for items or activities so that their child doesn’t miss out. ● Schools have a nominated parent payment contact person(s) that parents can have a confidential discussion with regarding financial hardship arrangements. SCHOOL PROCESSES ● Schools obtain school council approval for their parent payment arrangements and upload their arrangements on their school’s public website for transparency. 5
