Your Guide to the Peru Trip 2019 The XP Club is jetting off to South America in October 2019, for an unforgettable, action-packed trip. From climbing up Machu Picchu on the Inca trail (the world’s greatest wonder) and ascending Rainbow mountain to relaxing in a ranch after a traditional Peruvian barbeque. After white water rafting and spending time at a local school to get an authentic flavour of real life, we’ll head to the capital city, Lima. The final activity is a visit to Huacachina, which looks like a miraculous mirage in the desert, where we will explore the dunes on buggies before taking snaps to amaze our friends back home. A LIFE’S WORTH O F ADVENTURE AND ACTION IN ONE AMAZING EXPERIENCE When is the trip? • You should arrive in Cusco by Friday 11th October at the latest • Our trek begins on Saturday 12th October • Complete Machu Picchu and arrive back at our hotel in Cusco on Tuesday 15th October • Visit to our ranch for BBQ, drinks, music and stay at the lodge on Wednesday 16th October • Ascend Rainbow mountain, return to lodge for fishing and school visit on Thursday 17th October • Internal flight to Lima on Friday 18th October • Day trip to the amazing oasis, Huacachina on Saturday 19th October • It’s adios from us – you fly home on the evening of Saturday 19th October or the early hours of Sunday 20th October Why are we doing this? To put it simply - we take you out of your ordinary routine and place you into an extraordinary environment for an expedition and an itinerary packed with fun. We set up The XP Club to create life-changing adventures around the world, allowing likeminded people to tick off their bucket lists together, and become forever-friends. Everybody has ambitions to travel but it’s rare to find folks in your social circle who are as keen or share the same interests and energy. Everybody who attends this trip will be vetted to make sure they are going to bring value to the group and not hold us back from having a happy, smooth-sailing adventure. The same goes for our local partners in Peru. We prefer working with ethical, family-style hotels and excursion providers to ensure we have the best experience but not at the detriment to the local population or environment. If you are based near London, England we will certainly meet up with you personally prior to the trip. Website www.thexpclub.com E-mail info@thexpclub.com

Day 6: Raft and Recovery White Water Rafting Having left our hotel for the ranch, we start the exhilarating activity of white water rafting. We raft the upper section of the Urubamba river surrounded by gorgeous mountain scenery, with clean water and constant waves and rapids. We cover 17km or 9 miles for 2:15 minutes, at the end a Homemade picnic lunch will be provided. No rafting experience is required. Local sweets and treats will be gathered back at the lodge for us to enjoy after dinner. Today is a day for rest, relaxation and recovery in the comfort of the ranch. Day 7: Rainbows, Bikes and BBQ Rainbow Mountain We start the day with an early rise to embark on Rainbow Mountain. The path we will be taking is exclusive and newly opened – no other commercial tour has ever taken this route, you will be the first. This is an easy trek which won’t take more than a few hours to reach the top and you will want to have your camera ready to take those all-important selfies on this unique, colourful landscape. Mountain Biking (Optional) We hear what you’re saying – simply walking back down Rainbow mountain would be a little underwhelming. That’s why we are going to be taking a short bus ride to a nearby flattened, safe and secure path where you will see a mountain bike with your name on it. Yes, we will be cycling downhill on Rainbow mountain with the wind rushing against our faces and nothing but picturesque scenery surrounding us for miles. Giving Back Although Machu Picchu is incredibly popular and Rainbow mountain is rich with vistas, the people who live locally are still relatively poor and unnoticed. We love having an impact wherever we go so we will have a chance to visit some local tribes and children at school. While we have a great time and benefit from being in their homeland, it’s only right we leave a positive footprint so the locals can reap the rewards of our tourism too. We will do this with special access from local chiefs. This takes place at the bottom of Rainbow mountain, not far from our ranch, after we have descended and stocked up on snacks. Traditional Peruvian BBQ After an exciting, exhausting day of climbing and biking; private transport will take us back to the ranch where a spectacular, delicious Peruvian BBQ awaits us. All foods and ingredients are sourced locally and are of the best quality – if you have any dietary requirements, that’s no problem because we can cater for any preferences. The BBQ will be topped a buffet of local delights from drinks to desserts. This is a chance to reflect on the magic of the past week and share stories around the campfire accompanied by traditional music performed live for us, as the daylight makes way for a starry sky. Day 8: Internal Flight to Lima We will make our way to the airport to take a 1hr 30min flight to the capital city, Lima. We will then head to Hotel Ibis, where we will stay, which is 40 mins away by road. Today can be used for exploration of the local area of Miraflores which is regarded as very safe or if you prefer, relaxing in the hotel. Day 9: Huacachina This is the final part of the adventure and some will say it’s the most breath-taking. In the middle of the desert there is an oasis, the kind you only see on animated Hollywood movies. Huacachina is definitely real and we will be driving over the sand dunes to take photos, enjoy the site, and do some sandboarding. On this final evening, we will arrive back in Lima to our hotel and there will be a small presentation to thank everybody for being part of this amazing adventure. We will say our goodbyes, have our hugs and depart for home. Website www.thexpclub.com E-mail info@thexpclub.com
