We will send a letter with all these details Sunday 3rd July 8.45am – Children are to come to school at 8.45am and meet in the hall with all their luggage. Staff will be in the hall to greet the children. Any medicines can be given to us at this time and any other concerns can be shared with us. Our aim is to leave school by 9am to arrive at Grosvenor Hall at approximately 10.00am. We will have a snack on arrival and be ready for our first activities. Sunday pm – Lunch - Afternoon activities – Dinner- Evening activity Monday - Full day of activities (Breakfast – activities – Lunch – activities –Dinner – Evening activity) Tuesday - Full day of activities (Breakfast – activities – Lunch – activities –Dinner – Evening activity) Wednesday – Morning activities – hot lunch – afternoon activities – dinner - home. We will leave Grosvenor Hall after dinner, at around 6.30pm, with the aim of being back at school by 7.30pm.
A day full of fun A typical day at Kingswood: • Breakfast is served between 7.30am and 9am • First activities start around 9.30am • 10 minute juice break • Lunch time allocation between 12pm and 2.30pm • A full afternoon of activities • 10 minute juice break • Evening meal time allocation between 5pm and 7pm • Evening entertainment from 8:00 followed by hot chocolate • Lights out by 10.15pm Kingswood will create a programme to meet specific objectives, needs and learning outcomes. • Six activity sessions per full day plus one final evening session • Fully qualified Kingswood activity instructors lead all activities • Students are encouraged and praised during activities but are NEVER forced to take part if they are not comfortable doing so While other groups will also be present on centre during our stay, all programmes and activities are conducted separately.
KIT LIST Please make sure that you pack your suitcase with the children so that they know exactly what’s in it. Remember the children are responsible for their own belongings – it may be useful to bring a list of items packed and to label your things with your name. AGAIN WE WILL SEND A LETTER REMINDER AFTER EASTER pyjamas/night clothes enough socks and underwear waterproof coat (and trousers if you have them) hat and gloves – it can get very chilly when they are waiting for activities Carrier bags (for dirty clothing) 2 pairs of outdoor shoes/trainers. Please no wellington boots. 1 pair will get wet! 1 pair of slippers or plimsolls to be worn indoors 3 pairs trousers/leggings/tracksuit bottoms for activities – (not jeans as they get very heavy when wet and take ages to dry out) 4 t shirts - these make a good base layer if the weather is chilly!! One swimming towel and costume 2 long sleeved tops, t shirts 2 sweatshirts/fleeces for activities (it is best to have layers that can be removed if it gets too hot or added if it get too cold!) soap, flannel, roll-on deodorant, toothbrush, toothpaste, towel (no aerosol please) Lip balm, suntan lotion water bottle (this can be refilled during the course of the trip) Teddy bear?!
