COVID-19 Testing Update

• Offering four locations per week; rotating across six
  locations every two weeks.
• Still offering the same capacity of 200 tests/day.
• Reason for change:
   • On average, between 70-140 tests per week in the
     last two months.
• We are closely monitoring the situation and will make
  additional adjustments as needed.

Vaccination Clinics Overview
• Manassas Mall – PWHD:
    • Monday through Saturday, 1,100 first & second doses per day
• Community Vaccination Center – Gander Mountain Site
    • Extension until 6/12
        •   2,000 Pfizer first and second doses per day Monday - Saturday ending 5/22
        •   1,000 Pfizer second doses per day Monday - Saturday through 6/12
    • Limited amount of J&J vaccine available for walk-ins.
• Safeway at Veteran’s Memorial Park:
    • 540 Pfizer first doses and 1410 second doses
• All three of these clinic locations available for open registration in
  VASE via vaccinate.virginia.gov.
• Manassas Mall and Gander Mountain will continue to offer same-
  day on-site / walk-up registration if there are unfilled appointments.

Vaccination Distribution Updates
• FDA approved Pfizer vaccine for emergency use in children ages
  12-15 on May 10th and CDC committee will meet later this week to
  make a final decision on use in this age group.
• Pfizer and Moderna vaccine continue to be readily available.
   • VDH is working with a pharmacy partner with a license to break down
     the large “trays” of Pfizer vaccine into smaller units.
        •   195 vials of 6 doses/each per tray.
   • Will enable wider distribution to doctors, pharmacies, and
     pediatricians.
• The amount of Johnson and Johnson vaccine is currently limited
  due to previous manufacturing issues.
• PWHD started conducting homebound vaccinations on 5/1.
   •   As of 5/7, there were 34 (high of 54) remaining on the list

Vaccine Appointment Updates
• Walk-ins are now allowed at all VDH-operated clinics, and
  any resident can be served regardless of where they live or
  work.
   • Appointments are still encouraged.
• Vaccinate.virginia.gov now has a link to VASE+ to search for
  appointments.
• Vaccines.gov has links to appointments for other
  healthcare and pharmacy providers.
   • Anyone can go to any VDH-operated clinic to receive their
     2nd dose regardless of where they got their first dose.
   • You must receive the same vaccine for both doses; Pfizer and
     Moderna are NOT interchangeable.

Community Health Equity Vaccine
 Clinics and Outreach Events
Events conducted last week (4/25 – 5/1):
• Daily: booth at Manassas Mall
• Tuesday – Wednesday : 2nd Dose Clinic at Metz Middle School
• Tuesday – Wednesday: Booth at Unity Reid HS (Tues) and Forest Park HS (Wed)
  during shoe truck event for PWCS custodial staff
• Friday: Canvasing in Irongate Community and booth at Dar Al Noor
• Saturday: PWHD mobile vaccine clinic at Dar Al Noor Islamic Community Center
  and booth at PWC Stepping out of COVID Walking into Wellness 5K event.
This week’s events include:
• Daily: booth at Manassas Mall
• Tuesday: Booth at H-Mart in Manassas
• Wednesday: Booth at Al-Barakah Halal Supermarket in Woodbridge
• Thursday – Saturday: 2nd dose mobile vaccine clinic at Mother of Mercy Clinic
  with Sentara
• Saturday: Booth at Latin American Artisans & Entrepreneurs EXPO in Manassas
