Tournament sign up for Men’s, Women’s, and Mixed events will be on the Wyoming GC website. Please contact the professional staff if you need assistance. Also, please be aware of entry deadlines. In fairness to all contestants, no entries will be accepted after the entry deadline if the field is full or at an even number. To play in Wyoming Golf Club golf events and tournaments, you must be an amateur golfer with an established handicap. Players who do not have an established handicap must play at a zero handicap. Players shall use their handicap in effect at the time of the competition, unless stated otherwise. Children Participation Any member, regardless of age can play in the club championship. To play in Member – Member Events you must be classified by the club rule book as a member, be at least 19 years old, have an established USGA handicap and have paid the golf fee. Exceptions to 1 and 2 above need to be submitted in writing to the golf committee
GOLF RULES Handicaps A player should submit their score as soon as possible on the day of play, after completion of their round, and before midnight. All 9-Hole and 18-Hole rounds played both home and away need to be posted in accordance with the USGA Handicap System. The Handicap Committee will adjust handicaps if they judge a individual’s handicap to be inaccurate. Scores are NOT acceptable for handicap purposes if the listed are true: 1. you are being coached on the golf course. 2. You are using non-conforming equipment. 3. The number or type of golf clubs to be used is restricted. 4. Score cannot be verified by another person. 5. A player does not play their own ball. If you have an established Handicap Index, the maximum score for each hole played is limited to a net double bogey, equal to double bogey plus any handicap strokes you are entitled to receive based on your Course Handicap. If 13 or more holes are played, the player must post an 18-hole score. If 7 to 12 holes are played, the player must post a nine-hole score. Scores for un-played holes must be recorded as par plus any handicap strokes that the player is entitled to receive on the un-played holes using their full handicap.

GOLF RULES Dress Code These rules apply to the Golf Course and Practice Facilities Appropriate golf (soft spike) shoes are required with tennis shoes being permitted for junior golfers. Men’s shirts with collars (including mock turtle-necks) are to be worn at all times and are to be kept tucked in to the shorts or pants. Denim, warm-up/workout attire, cargo shorts or tennis attire, are not permitted. Racquet sports attire and swimwear are not permitted. Hats must be worn brim forward. Please note that some items sold in the Golf Shop are designed for lifestyle pieces and are not considered appropriate attire for clubhouse or golf wear. Violations of the dress code may result in the censure of the member or members involved by the board, which may result in suspension.
GOLF RULES Pace of Play Four and a half hours (or quicker) for eighteen holes is an important tradition of this club. It is expected that all maintain this pace of play or quicker. Below are a few tips for improving pace that will ultimately add enjoyment and enhance the golf experience for all members and guests: Keep up with the group in front of you. Any group that has a clear hole open in front of them, even though the group may be playing quickly, must invite any waiting group to play through. It is also acceptable to ask a slower group in front of you to play through. Try alternate forms of play by playing match play or best ball so that not every player has to hole out on every hole. If not in an individual stroke play event it is OK to pick up your ball and move to the next hole. If you are driving in a cart with another player, drop them off at their ball and proceed to yours once they have the club they need. This way you are ready to hit once they have played their shot. Minimize time on the tee by “hitting when ready.” You can also save time by hitting a provisional ball if you ball might be lost or out of bounds. Record your score on the next tee. Give a member in your group a chance to tee off if you are busy writing down scores. Help other in the group watch their golf balls. Take a couple of clubs with you to the green if you are unsure as to what club you might use in chipping or pitching a shot. Lastly, please be aware of your pace of play. Most people do not realize they are behind pace unless someone tells them. Note when you tee off, when you make the turn and when you finish. You are considered out of position if: a. On a par three, the group ahead has cleared the next tee while you are on the tee. b. On a par four, the group ahead has cleared the green while you are on the tee. c. On a par five, the group ahead is on the green while you are on the tee.
GOLF RULES Golf Course Etiquette & Care Bunkers Golfers should rake all bunkers after use. Rakes should be laid flat outside the bunker’s edge. Golfers should also click the sand off their shoes prior to approaching the green. Divots Replace all respective divots on the golf course including any you might find that are not yours. If the divot cannot be replaced, please pour the provided sand mix on your golf cart into the divot. Ball Marks Please repair your respective ball mark on the green, and any others that have been missed by previous players. Practice Facilities The use of range balls anywhere outside the practice facilities is prohibited.
GOLF RULES Inclement Weather & Rain Policy Please obey the following: One (1) long siren alert indicates a lightening threat is near and all play and practice must stop, and all players must seek shelter. Series of short blast sounds indicates an “all clear” from lightening threats and play and practice may resume. Guest & Cart Fee Rain Policy Players playing seven (7) – twelve (12) holes 9-hole cart fee and 9-hole guest fee Players playing thirteen (13) or more holes 18-hole cart fee and 18-hole guest fee
