1PRIORITY ON THE COURSE
The Club Captain has priority at all times.
Competitors in Club Competitions have priority over all other matches.
On weekdays two-ball matches have preference over three and four-ball matches but
all matches have equal standing on Saturdays and Sundays.
All members of a four, three or two-ball match must be on the first tee before their
match has any standing.
If a match fails to keep its place on the course and loses more than one clear hole on
the players in front, it should allow the match following to pass.
CONSIDERATION FOR OTHER PLAYERS
No player should play until the players in front are out of range.
In the interest of all, players should play without delay.
Players searching for a ball should signal the players behind them to pass as soon as
it becomes apparent that the ball will not be easily found; they should not search for
the allowed THREE minutes before doing so. They should not continue play until the
players following them have passed and are out of range.
When the play of a hole has been completed, players should immediately leave the
putting green. Players in competitions should not mark cards until they have left the
green.
CARE OF THE COURSE
HOLES IN BUNKERS: Before leaving bunkers, players should carefully fill in and
smooth over all holes and footprints made by them.
RESTORE DIVOTS AND PLUG MARKS: Through the green, players should ensure
that any turf cut or displaced by them is replaced at once and pressed down, and that
any damage to the putting green made by the ball or the player is carefully repaired.
DAMAGE TO THE GREEN: Flagsticks, Bags, etc.: Players should ensure that, when
putting down bags (near the green), or the flagstick, no damage is done to the putting
green and that neither they nor their caddies damage the hole by standing close to it,
handling the flagstick or in removing the ball from the hole. The flagstick should be
properly replaced in the hole before the players leave the putting green.
DAMAGE THROUGH PRACTICE SWINGS: In taking practice swings players should
avoid causing damage to the course, particularly the tees, by removing divot.
BUGGIES: Must be driven giving due care and attention to the course. OBSERVE all
markings on the course and drive in the rough as much as possible. Wet areas
SHOULD be avoided.

16JUNIOR SECTION COURSE RULES AND TIMES
1. A Junior Member ceases to be a Junior Member on 1st January immediately
FOLLOWING her/his 18th birthday (except when that birthday occurs on 1st
January when it occurs forthwith).
2. Junior Members ARE NOT PERMITTED TO PLAY FROM THE FIRST TEE
(EVEN IF PLAYING WITH A SENIOR MEMBER) at the following times:
WEEKENDS - BEFORE 10:00 a.m.
1. Junior Members must give way to Senior Members on the first tee,
BUT PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING:
(a) A Junior Member, playing with a Senior Member, will have equal standing on the first tee
providing that the juniors do not comprise more than 50% of the players in that match,
but play from the first tee is still prohibited at the above times
(b) Juniors will have equal standing on the first tee between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. and
between 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. on all WEEKDAYS.
1. A Junior can enter a Club competition providing s/he has attained a handicap of 24.
S/he must play with an adult or adults and play within the Junior’s allotted
times.
2. Junior Members must become familiar with the Rules of Golf, the Course Rules and with golf
etiquette.
17DRESS CODE
CLUBHOUSE:
Track/shell suits or part thereof, vests, caps or hats, waterproof golf clothing, spiked,
pimpled or shoes worn on the course are not allowed in the Clubhouse.
Vests, collarless and sleeveless tee shirts, football/rugby shirts should not be worn at
any time. New style collarless polo shirts are acceptable. The wearing of jeans in the
Clubhouse is now allowed, but these jeans must be tidy. Cut/raggy jeans will not be
allowed.
COURSE:
Players are not permitted to wear track/shell suits or part thereof, jeans, denim clothing
or vests on the course.
Vests, collarless and /or sleeveless tee shirts, football/rugby shirts should not be worn

SHORTS:
During hot weather/summertime, tailored shorts MAY be worn on the course and in
the Clubhouse.
ANY INDIVIDUAL NOT OBSERVING THE ABOVE CLUBHOUSE DRESS RULES
WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE THE CLUB BY AN AUTHORISED OFFICER.
MOBILE PHONES:
Players should note that the use of mobile phones on the golf course is NOT permitted
and phones should be switches off or put into silent or vibrate mode. Whilst in the
clubhouse lounge/bar area, phones should be switched to silent or vibrate mode and
if you need to speak on the phone, please move outside the lounge/bar area to do so.
Use of phone for texting and internet access is acceptable.
