2. GENERAL INFORMATION
2.1. ARRIVAL AND ACCOMMODATION
Travel and accommodation costs to the European Championship venues in Upper Austria
(Schwanenstadt, Lochen am See, Pichl bei Wels and Peuerbach) must be covered by the national
federations and the teams.
All participants must be in possession of a valid passport or identity card. The visa requirement must be
observed. All participants must comply with the travel regulations related to the COVID pandemic
established by the Austrian Federal Government and documented here, and must adhere to the COVID
protocol of the Organizing Committee, which will be published on the website www.paracycling.at.
All riders and attendants must have a valid insurance in Austria and should be insured for medical
transfer in case of an accident.

Accommodation for teams:
The accommodation for the athletes and the persons accompanying them must be paid by each National
Federation. The Organizing Committee suggests contacting directly the establishments listed in the
Accommodation and Catering document on the website www.paracycling.at to make your reservations.
Reservations should be made directly with the hotels, subject to availability.
The Organizing Committee of the UEC Para Cycling Championships has organized a catering service in the
venues (Schwanenstadt - Stadtsaal, Lochen am See - Mittelschule, Pichl bei Wels - Mittelschule as well as
Peuerbach - Kulturzentrum Melodium). The catering vouchers will be handed out when the athletes and
support staff pick up their accreditation. The organization fee regarding the catering is included in the
accreditation fee.

Each Federation is responsible for obtaining documents for the appropriate entries of its delegation.

have a short interview with the riders, if they wish.

4. RACE SPECIFIC REGULATIONS
ARTICLE 1. GENERAL RULES
The UEC Paracycling European Championships 2021 are organized by the Union Européenne de Cyclisme
(UEC) in cooperation with the ASVÖ ÖAMTC XTREME Tri and the Austrian Cycling Federation.
Technical director: Mr. Walter Mayrhuber
All participants must comply with the travel regulations related to the COVID pandemic as established by the
Austrian Federal Government and documented herein, and must adhere to the OC's COVID protocol, which
will be posted on the race website (www.paracycling.at).
The event is organized in accordance with the rules of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) and these
rules are the reference for everything not mentioned in this document.
The UEC Paracycling European Championship consists of the following races:
Time Trials (3. June 2021 and 4. June 2021) as well as the Road Races (5. June 2021 and 6. June
2021).

The event is open to athletes in the following categories:

The event is registered in the UCI calendar as Continental Championship (CC)
ARTICLE 3. PARTICIPATION
3.1 National teams
The national federations must register their riders directly on the UEC website (www.uec.ch).
REGISTRATION OF PARTICIPANTS
The national federations shall confirm their participation in the UEC online registration system from 14
April 2021 until no later than 26 May 2021 at 23:59 CET.
This confirmation shall indicate the number of persons making up each delegation, the registration of the

details of the team manager and the arrival times of each athlete.
A single representative of each national federation shall confirm the participants for all athletes of that nation,
whether they participate through the national team, as individuals, or for another team on the
recommendation of the national federation.
Registration fee: € 100,00 per rider and non refundable
Only the national teams that have paid the registration fee in time will receive their accreditation badges and
will be able to participate in the competition.

Chips/transponders
The Organizing Committee will provide the team manager with a chip/transponder for each participating
athlete with a deposit fee of € 30.00 each.
At the end of the competition, the transponder must be returned to the accreditation office against return of
the deposit.

3.3 Start order
The starting order will be determined according to the UCI/UEC regulations.
The riders (of the Road Race) line up in the order in which they are to be called at the starting line.
The number of riders on each line is determined by the President of the Commissaires Panel and
supervised by a commissaire.
The rider decides himself which position he takes on the line
ARTICLE 5. AWARDS CEREMONIES
In accordance with articles 1.2.112 and 1.2.113 of the UCI regulations, the top 3 riders in each category
must take part in the official award ceremony, any interviews that may be organized, and the press
conference.
Unless otherwise specified, riders must appear at official ceremonies in competition attire.
Riders must be on the podium within a maximum of 10 minutes after crossing the finish line.
5.1 Jersey and medals
Every European Championship will be awarded with:
The 1st place: Gold medal and Champion’s jersey
The 2nd place: Silver medal
The 3rd place: Bronze medal
ARTICLE 6. ANTIDOPING
The UCI anti-doping regulations and the specific Austrian anti-doping laws are fully applicable to the event.

ARTICLE 7. PENALTIES
The UCI scale of penalties is the only one applicable.
ARTICLE 8. RESPONSIBILITIES
The organizers and the UEC are not liable under any circumstances for accidents or damages that occur during
training and competitions.
The organizers and the UEC disclaim any responsibility towards the riders and other persons in case of an
accident.
For all cases not covered by these specific regulations, the UCI rules will apply. Any problems will be solved
between the organizers, the Commissaires Panel and the UEC officials.
