If you’re in need of a space to off-load items before a big move or you’re looking to find a new treasure or two, the West
End Community Centre is closing out the summer with a great community yard sale & BBQ in our front plaza on Denman
St. All proceeds from table sales will help subsidize the West End CC Youth Programs and King George Secondary School’s
graduating class of 2019. A full list of Rules & Regulations will be available at the front office.

Community Centre, Coal Harbour Community Centre,
and Barclay Manor
Birds in Residence
Birds in Residence celebrates our winged relatives,
from songbirds to birds of prey, waterfowl to shorebirds
in Coal Harbour and the West End. Until the end of the
year, we will learn everything we can about the birds
who live in, and fly through, our neighbourhoods,
reflecting on ideas of home and migration. The aim
of the residency is to deepen our relationship with the
birds we live with, through nature walks and a multitude
of art forms including drawing, mapping, listening,
movement and song, combining the insights and
talents of community engaged artists with biologists,
ornithologists and amateur bird enthusiasts.
Watch for notices of birdy activities in the neighbourhood

This is an annual sell-out event you won’t want to miss!
We welcome ONLY handcrafted items to be sold at this
event. Line up early for the best table selection. Pick up a

Family Time During our playtime program, we have opened up this
service to parents using the library, fitness centre or WECC
programs. The parent/guardians must remain in the
building at all times and be available to childminding staff
if necessary (diaper changes, etc). It is on a first-come-
first-served basis with a limit of 6 children (no more than
2 infants) at one time. Send snacks or lunch depending on
