Parent Involvement is Powerful! Our volunteer groups donate thousands of hours and raise over $1 million annually to facilitate student and school programs. Parent support is critical for maintaining our long tradition of educational excellence and strong community. Who are the SRVHS Booster Groups? ● Academic Boosters (Ed Fund) ● Dance Boosters ● Athletic Boosters ● San Ramon Voices ● PTSA (Parent Teacher Student Assoc.) ● Wolf-Tones Instrumental Music Boosters ● Theatre Boosters Academic Boosters For over 20 years, Academic Boosters has been SRV’s non-profit education fund committed to supporting programs that enhance the educational experience for ALL students at SRVHS. Run by volunteer parents, it is funded primarily by parent donations at registration and during the spring fundraising drive. Parent donations fund much needed additional class sections, thus reducing student-to-teacher ratios in core subjects, such as Math, Science, Social Sciences, English, and World Languages and allows for greater elective choices, such as AP, honors, music, visual and performing arts that are not covered by state funding. We ask for an annual donation of $650 per student and our goal is 100% participation. Any donation amount is greatly appreciated. Our annual budget is over $500,000. Last year, over 85% of our annual budget funded 18 extra class sections and the College and Career Center. We focus our funding on adding in-demand courses to the master schedule at an average cost of over $25,000 per class section. Donations also fund free after-school tutoring labs taught by our teachers known as Academic Support Labs, peer tutoring, teacher grants, student academic clubs, and scholarships. These programs are essential to every student on campus and only happen as annual funding allows. Corporate matching is accepted and encouraged. PTSA - Parent Teacher Student Association Follow @srvhsptsa on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for SRV news and announcements. Scan the QR code with your phone camera to visit our website! Athletic Boosters Athletic Boosters is a parent-run organization dedicated to supporting the 24 athletic programs in both men’s and women’s sports at SRVHS so student-athletes at SRV can experience the lifelong benefits of participating in high school athletics. Every dollar raised subsidizes the funding necessary to provide quality athletic programs for the student-athletes at SRVHS at all levels: freshman, junior varsity, and varsity. A large portion of the funds raised go directly to the Athletic Dept Fund. In addition, every year the Athletic Booster organization contributes to each sport team directly based on the booster memberships on that team. We also work with each sport on fundraising events that benefit them directly. We provide scholarships and well-deserved athlete of the month recognition throughout the school year. We are a 501(c)(3) organization. Your donation is tax-deductible and qualifies for corporate matching. In addition to free admission to all home regular season football and basketball games, booster members will have their own access to our new video camera system so you can stream games. You can also access away games where the away team has the same system. The cameras are installed in the Main Gym, Stadium Field, Pool, and Softball Field. (Baseball has an existing home camera). We will also be giving each member SRV lanyards and membership cards to identify you as an Athletic Booster. The Athletic Boosters meet the first Monday of the month (except for January). Visit our website for more information and our meeting dates: https://srvhs.srvusd.net/Athletics/Athletic-Boosters/index.html Theatre Boosters Theatre Arts provides your student with a place where they can gain new skills, strengthen creativity, and create a collage of exciting memories. Our students have opportunities to participate in a wide variety of plays, improv, and musical theatre as well as build their skills in writing, directing, production, and all aspects of tech including set design, lighting, and sound. We connect our students to a wide variety of community theatre as well including the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Our theatre department is a community and we want you to be a part of it. We are looking for enthusiastic parents interested in promoting all aspects of the arts! For questions, please reach out to srvhs.theatre.boosters@gmail.com Visit www.srvhs.srvusd.net for more info about our Booster Groups!
Dance Boosters San Ramon Valley High School's dance program includes five classes and a competitive team under the direction of Joan Ward. The dance program is a fun, creative, and collaborative performance experience that has made it a favorite on campus for many years! The tradition is to have two weeks of evening performances: the Fall “Dancing with Wolves” show, and the Spring show week. We also host a Benefit Show every January, pulling together our four area high schools as well as our local dance studios. This is a chance to give back as we unite for one night of performances to raise funds for a deserving charity. If you have any questions, please feel free to email SRVdanceboosters@gmail.com or dance director Joan Ward at jward@srvusd.net. Thank you so much for your continued support! San Ramon Voices Follow San Ramon Voices on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter for choir news, details of concerts and event ticket links. Scan the QR code with your phone camera to visit our website! Wolf-Tones Wolf-Tones is the non-profit booster group that supports all of the SRVHS Instrumental Music programs: Orchestra, Symphonic Band, Concert Band, Jazz Ensemble, and Marching Ensemble. Our primary purpose is to provide funding and parent volunteer assistance for class activities, competitions, festivals, clinicians, transportation, etc. as well as capital expenditures for instruments, equipment, sheet music, and uniforms. There are many opportunities for parents to volunteer. Parents are encouraged to attend Wolf-Tones Booster meetings to hear all the latest on our instrumental music program. Meetings are typically held the first Monday of every month at 7:00pm (currently we are meeting over Zoom). Our website www.wolf-tones.org has all the latest information on the Instrumental Music program, contact information, and events calendar. Feb 6 FUNDING OF OUR SPORTS High school athletes in the SRVUSD are mostly “self-funded.” The athletic programs do not receive funding for equipment, uniforms, transportation, officials and most coaching stipends. As such, voluntary participation donations are accepted to fund these valuable programs. We encourage all interested students to try out for athletic teams. Participation in athletic programs is not dependent on financial contributions. The voluntary donation covers major operating costs for each sport and our athletic department. This donation is used for: officials, equipment, coaching stipends, game management, first aid supplies, facility upgrades, CIF, NCS, EBAL fees and various general expenses to operate our athletics. The donation for each sport can be submitted at the beginning of each season. SRV Athletic Boosters Need You!
