Cargo IAG Cargo is in charge of all air freight carried by IAG group airlines Both the Madrid cargo terminal and Iberia airport handling staff have been awarded Good Distribution Practices (GDP) certification for handling and storing medical items for human use. Iberia’s Madrid hub is now the largest in southern Europe for transshipping medicines. In the past 12 months, IAG Cargo and Iberia have transported thousands of tonnes of PPE, medical equipment, testing kits and medicines working in collaboration with its sister airlines.
