Students are expected to practice these expectations: Follow all directions Pay attention Raise hand to participate Ask for help Respect others at all times Follow all school and technology agreement rules Expectations

When students meet expectations, the following occurs: 1. Praise 2. “Smilies” on the Behavior Board 3. Self esteem from meeting or exceeding expectations Expectation Encouragers
Not following expectations results in: 1. Verbal Warning 2. Second Verbal Warning (behavior slip and parent contacted) 3. Third Verbal Warning (parent again contacted, school administrator contacted) Habits of Success grades drop with each offense *Repeat offenses will result in a parent meeting with an administrator Expectations
Math: Savvas Realize* ELA: ConnectEd/Wonders* Social Studies: Houghton Mifflin (Reflections textbook) Science: Mystery Science (online) PE: 100 mins. weekly Music: 30 mins. (Mondays) with Mrs. Yii Second Step Social/Emotional Lessons Library will be on Fridays, starting 8/30. *Classlink apps Curriculum
Students are expected to complete their classroom assignments regularly and to the best of their ability Homework will be 20 minutes of reading nightly and studying for upcoming tests Missing assignments result in: ◦ Lowered grade on progress report/report card ◦ Missed practice on skills/strategies learned Assignment Policy
Students will be graded in all subject areas. Scores are tracked for student progress. Grades are based on the 4 point score below. Grades are not averaged, but progress toward each standard will be graded. ◦ 4 – Exceeds 4th grade level standard ◦ 3 – Meets 4th grade level standard ◦ 2 – Progressing toward meeting 4th grade level standard ◦ 1 – Not meeting 4th grade level standard Progress Reports first 6 weeks of each trimester Report Cards 12th week of each trimester Grading Policy
Folders go home every Friday Folder includes student’s corrected and/or graded paper classwork and paper tests (see Google Classroom for online assignments and tests) Cover sheet has summary of student’s behavior, homework, and low grades on the assignments and tests that are in the folder Cover sheet must be signed by a parent every week Folder must be returned Monday morning Friday Folders
