About us

Situated on the South East side of Loch
Lomond in the village of Balmaha, our intimate
South facing venue offers a truly atmospheric
setting for your special day.

Location
We are in the heart of the Loch Lomond and
Trossachs National Park but only 40 minutes
from Glasgow and its airport. We are bounded
by nature reserves and a picturesque
highland village and our natural grounds
include a private foreshore backed by ancient
broadleaved woodlands.

Venue
We have 18 acres of private grounds including
an exclusive private beach front for wedding
ceremonies and marquee receptions for up to
250 people.

Our function suite is split in to three spaces
(the Rob Roy Lounge Bar, Thistle Room and
the Garden Room) that flow together and
enable you to create a celebration for up to
110 that is tailored to your needs.

Ceremonies
On the banks of Loch Lomond
For an unforgettable ceremony, you can tie the
knot on the banks of Loch Lomond with the most
magnificent backdrop. For added convenience we
have a ceremonial marquee, if required, to ensure
the weather won’t impact your day.

The Garden Room
Our Garden Room is the perfect alternative to
an outdoor ceremony. Filled with natural light, it
provides an ideal venue for the cooler months.

Receptions
Marquee receptions
Marquee receptions for up to 250 people can
be held on our private beach just feet from the
water’s edge.

Function suite
Our function suite can accommodate up to 110
guests for the wedding breakfast and comprises
three interconnecting spaces to provide you
complete flexibility.

The Thistle Banquet Room

The Thistle Room is a spacious, high
ceilinged banqueting room with south
facing views across Loch Lomond.

Max dining capacity: 110

Additional seating: 40 (on the adjoining
patio covered with a clearspan marquee).

The Rob Roy Lounge Bar

Adjacent to the Thistle Banquet Room is
our comfortable and intimate bar with its
log fire. This free flowing space enables
you to have plenty of space for both
dancing and relaxing. It is often used for
welcome drinks the evening before.

The Garden Room

The Garden Room is a grand conservatory
ideal for ceremonies and reception drinks.
It also provides the ideal space for evening
buffets or children’s entertinment.

Accommodation

Luxury self catering lodges with
private hot tubs
We have 11 five star luxury self catering lodges,
each sleeping up to six people. Every lodge
benefits from its own private outdoor hot tub
with views across the loch, three bathrooms and
a spacious open plan kitchen, dining and lounge
area.

Managing reservations
Whether you ask guests to pay for their own
accommodation or you prefer to cover the costs
yourself, we are happy to manage each individual
booking on your behalf.

Site exclusivity
Site exclusivity is available for anyone who hires
all lodges as well.

Venue hire
When you book a wedding at Loch Lomond
Waterfront, we want it to be unique and
tailored to yourselves. As standard, you’ll
receive the following as part of your venue
hire:

•   Dedicated wedding coordinator

•   Thistle Room, Rob Roy Bar & Garden
    Room from Friday to Sunday*

•   Our grounds, including our fully serviced
    private beach

•   Red carpet, alter and cake table

•   Complimentary two night stay for the
    bride and groom**

•   Tables and chairs, linen and glassware for
    up to 110 guests

•   PA system and informal toastmaster

Optional extras
•   Loch--side ceremonial marquee

•   Waterside marquee for reception

•   Piper

•   Beach bonfire

•   Fireworks

* Based on a £300 minimum spend at bar on Friday
