WATERFORD GREEN HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION (WGHOA) 2014 WATERFORD GREEN RECREATION FACILITIES POLICIES
RIGHTS OF POOL AND TENNIS COURTS USE 1. WGHOA members (or their designated tenants) are entitled to the use of the swimming pool and tennis courts as long as the quarterly assessments are not delinquent. Payments are due on January 1st, April 1st, July 1st, and October 1st. 2. Card keys will be deactivated for delinquent assessments. You will need to contact the management company, R S Fincher at 362-1460 in order to reactivate the cards. 3. Members and their guests may be suspended for not abiding by and adhering to the rules that are included but not limited to this document. Rules and policies may be amended by a vote of the Board of Directors. 4. Members’ privileges will also be suspended for lending card keys to anyone to gain access to the recreation facilities. 5. Card keys (two per household) remain the property of WGHOA and may be revoked at any time. 6. Replacement keys will be issued by the management company at a cost of $25 each. The old card keys will be deactivated. 7. To obtain access to the recreation facilities, the card key is held in front of the lock and the light will change from red to green and then you pull on the gate for access. For the tennis courts at night, the key needs to be placed in the light timer and remain in the key hole to keep the lights on. (this is the old pool key ) 8. Also, WG green bands should be worn by all residents 12 and older to attend the pool without adults. They must also have their pool key. They will be denied access to the pool without these. If you need to replace lost bands, you need to contact the management office, R.S. Fincher at 362-1460. 9. Pool parties of any size must be scheduled in advance thru the pool company’s website at www.poolprofessionals.com. These parties are only allowed during regular pool hours. For parties of more than 15 people (including members) a charge may incur for additional lifeguard coverage. Also, the homeowners must be present at all times. Please be aware if the party is not scheduled in advance thru the pool company website you will be turned away. 10. Security cameras have been installed to monitor the pool and its surrounding facilities. No Trespassing signs are posted indicating that the entire area is off limits after 9:00pm. The Apex Police Department will be called on any signs of violators. Please observe these signs and keep your family away from these facilities after hours. POOL SEASON The 2014 pool season runs from Sat. May 3rd to Sun. Sept. 28th, 2014 Pool Hours: (limited hours for lifeguards below) Monday thru Saturdays 9:00 am to 8:30 pm Sundays 10:00 am to 8:30 pm

To register for swim lessons you need to go to www.avswim.com or call 919-787-1518. Any questions can be directed to www.Poolprofessionals.com . POOL RULES 1. SAFETY FIRST. All persons using the pool do so at their own risk and agree to abide by the rules. The WGHOA, its agents and employees assume no
responsibility for any accident or injury incurred in connection with use of the pool nor for any loss or damage to personal property. Members are responsible for the actions of their children and guests. 2. Any conflict that cannot be resolved by the pool staff will be brought before the management company and /or the Board of Directors. 3. The pool staff is authorized to use their discretion in maintaining a safe and healthy environment, to evict anyone for rules violation or when public safety or health is threatened. Pool staff may prohibit re-entry to the pool area. 4. Wristbands are required to be worn by youth age 12 to 18 in order to gain admittance when not accompanied by a parent. Bands are available at R.S. Fincher Management Company at 362-1460. 5. Guest Policy is any member age 12 and up can have one guest with them when not accompanied by their parents. 6. No person shall use the pool facilities unless the pool is officially open. Unauthorized individuals entering the pool enclosure when the pool is closed will lose their privileges for the remainder of the pool season and risk prosecution for trespassing. 7. The pool furniture is not to be moved around the pool area. It is extremely heavy and dragging it will ruin the coating and damage the tables and chairs. 8. All swimmers shall take a shower and thoroughly rinse off before entering the pool. (Parents are responsible for instructing their children) 9. Individuals who have infections, lesions or open sores are not allowed in the pool. 10. Grills of any kind, smoking, breakable objects (i.e. glass containers, etc.) and chewing gum is not allowed in the pool enclosure. Food and drink are not permitted in the pool. 11. Water guns, in-line skates, skateboards, scooters or bikes, hard objects such as Frisbees and tennis balls are not allowed inside the pool enclosure. 12. Intoxicated persons are not allowed on the premises at any time. 13. Everyone must stay clear of the lifeguard stations and not engage in casual conversation with the on-duty lifeguards. 14. Persons unable to demonstrate an ability to swim are not permitted in or around the deep end of the swimming pool without an adult. 15. Pets are not permitted in the pool enclosure. 16. Instructional floatation devices (i.e. water wings or USCG approved life vests) may be used under the direct supervision of an adult. Rafts are not permitted. 17. Running, pushing, fighting, profanity, wrestling, dunking, standing or sitting on other swimmer's shoulders or general horseplay is prohibited. 18. Hanging, sitting or standing on the lifeline separating the swimming and diving areas and the toddler area are not permitted. 19. Tight-legged swim diapers with rubber elastic pants over them must be worn by all infants and toddlers not potty trained at all times when using the pool. Babies in diapers are not permitted in the pool. 20. There will be a 10-minute rest period each hour. During this period, children must be completely out of the water. Adults, 18 years of age and over, may remain in the pool. Children three and under will be allowed to accompany an adult during the designated break time provided that the adult is in the water with the child. No rest period is called during the last hour of the day. 21. The pool will close at the discretion of the pool staff in case of thunder, lightning, rain, equipment breakdown, contamination or any other situation that jeopardizes the public’s health and safety. The pool shall remain closed until the staff deems it safe to reopen. 22. Audio equipment is not permitted in the pool area without the use of headphones and the volume must not disturb others. 23. Diving from the side of the pool is permitted only in the 8-foot area.
24. Authentic swimwear must be worn for swimming. ( i.e. no cut-off jeans/shorts) DISCIPLINE Members, children and guests must obey and respect pool staff and adhere to the pool regulations or face eviction/suspension. First infraction: Verbal reprimand. Second infraction: The individual will be evicted from the pool for the remainder of the day. Parents will be notified in writing if a minor is involved. Third infraction: one-week suspension. Fourth infraction: Pool privileges revoked for the remainder of the season. Please help make our pool safe and accident free for you and your family.
