ELECTIVE ACTIVITIES
Along with English Classes, campers can participate in a range of Tamwood Camp Electives.
These Electives are interactive, fun hour-long sessions to promote learning and cross-cultural
collaboration. They are our approach to bringing traditional in-person camp to life through the
computer. Every elective will be a little different but they are all designed to engage and facilitate
a one world community.

ABOUT THE ACTIVITIES
Culture Explorer
As our society becomes more connected, we are also becoming closer as world
citizens. In these fun sessions, we will completely immerse ourselves in the culture,
history and lifestyles of different societies. It is our goal to bring different culture to life
in the most useful way possible for the youth of today. Examples of topics covered
include: how to drink proper English tea, culture of coffee around the world, how to
order different types of sushi, and more.
I am who I am! Guest Speaker Spotlight
Each week, Tamwood will invite special guests from local or international
communities to share
their personal stories and speak about why it is important to know who you are and
be yourself.
Creative
Creative expression allows the youth of today to escape the hectic world we live in.
Creative sessions will focus on both self-exploration and the artistic process to create
a finished product. Students can work in teams to create digital pieces or alone. The
guidance of our enthusiastic
counsellors will always be on hand to spark creativity.
Everyday Skills for Youth
Confidence, Independence and Leadership are all important skills that Tamwood
Camps incorporates into all of our programming. As well, there are some everyday
skills that young adults need for the real world like: cooking, money management,
personal care, social manners, and more. Each week we will not only provide training
in these practical skills but also allow campers to hear from our staff as to why these
skills are so important during their college years.

ABOUT THE ACTIVITIES
Your Bright Futures Speaker Series
Today’s youth have a lot of questions regarding their future from Education to Careers.
These carefully selected speakers and topics will help answer some of those questions.
University prep, Career choices, options after high school.
Born to move: Online active hour
It is no secret that physical activity is important no matter how old you are. In this
unique world of increased screen time and stay-at-home requirements, we are creating
opportunities for students from all areas of the world to be active together. Born to
move sessions are energetic, fun, and healthy. The hour will help youth to get on their
feet and explore activities like yoga, dance, fitness and more.
Team Challenge and Games: Let’s have some fun
Learning through play is a team used by educators and psychologists from across all
nations. From a young age, children learn to make sense of the world around them
through real physical experiences. In this online camp Tamwood is able to simulate
traditional social environments where students can practice their social, cognitive and
emotional skills and gain the self-confidence required to engage in new experiences,
new environments and new friendships.
Family Virtue Fun Hour
Parents will have the opportunity to become a camper for a day by playing games with
their children as a family. These bonus interactive sessions will bring families together
from around the world.

Program Dates: English Classes offered twice a
Week 1: July 4 to July 10, 2021* day to accommodate different
Week 2: July 11 to July 17, 2021* time zones.
Break: July 18 to 25
Week 3: July 25 to July 31, 2021 With activities running through
Week 4: Aug 1 to Aug 7, 2021 the day*, across the week,
Week 5: Aug 8 to Aug 14, 2021 campers have the flexibility to
Week 6: Aug 15 to Aug 21, 2021 decide how many activities they
would like to participate in.
Week 7: Aug 22 to Aug 28, 2021
*Only offering afternoon schedule (Vancouver time) for Week 1 & 2

Eligibility and preparedness
Do you have access to a computer with microphone, webcam and internet
access?
Are you between ages 8 and 15?
Do you want to improve your English skills?

Steps for registration
Camper completes Enrollment Form and submits it to Tamwood Camps
Registrar - registrar@tamwood.com
Tamwood processes booking and sends Camper confirmation and invoice
Camper makes the payment by following instructions on invoice;
Tamwood sends login details to the camper before the first class
Camper join class remotely using link provided
Pricing (in Canadian Dollars)
C$ 215 1 week
C$ 390 2 weeks
C$ 585 3 weeks
C$ 740 4 weeks
C$ 925 5 weeks
C$ 995 6 weeks
Refund & Cancellation Policy
If the student withdraws more than 14 days before the program start date,
Tamwood will refund the program fee less C$ 80, which will be retained as a
cancellation fee
No refund is given to students who withdraw with 14 days or less notice
from the program start date or who are dismissed from the program
