Project Overview The Village of Tinley Park has requested a quote for the installation of a CCTV surveillance system at the 801h Avenue Train Station. The solution should include at le.ast partial coverage of the North and South Parking lots. The solution should also provide for future expansion following completion of construction of the new train station. Proposed Solution Based on information gathered during a walkthrough, with Village Public Works staff, of the train station and surrounding areas, Pace Systems is proposing a solution based on wireless video transmission using fixed megapixel cameras. Taking into account that the train station and parking lots will be undergoing major construction, we proposing the installation of 4 fixed megapixel cameras in the west edge of the both the North and South parking lots. On the North parkin~ lot, two cameras will be placed on a light pole on the northwest edge, near the corner of 1791 Stand 801h Ave. One camera will be positioned to capture the entrance and exit lanes to the parking lot. The second camera will be positioned to capture the parking lot. The cameras will be connected to a Proxim Tsumani Quick Bridge and transmitted wirelessly to the South Parking Lot. Powe(" will be provided from the existing power cabinet next to the light pole. On the South Parking lot, two cameras will be placed on a light pole at the southwest edge, along Timber Drive. One camera will be positioned to capture East and West bound lanes of Timber Dr. and the other will be positioned to capture the parking lot. The pole will also act as the wireless collection point for the cameras from the North Parking lot. To facilitate recording of the cameras the new fiber run will be extended from the South lot light pole, through existing fiber vaults and conduit to the Library. The fiber run will be terminated at the Library and connected to the Village's existing fiber backbone and transmitted back to the Police Department. The video will be recorded on the existing Milestone Xprotect server at the Police Department. Additional storage for the added video recording will be added to the Milestone server. Pace has included on option in the solution for the Village to have Public Works staff perform electrical and cabling work.
