WHO WE ARE: Portsmouth Teenage Project is run by Enable Ability and is for young people aged 13-17 years old living in Portsmouth with a physical and/or mild- moderate learning disability, or additional special need. The Project aims to provide young people with the opportunity to engage in a variety of planned recreational, social and sporting activities as part of a group setting. This enables young people to interact and socialise with other peers on a regular basis. Activities are designed to improve pivotal life skills for all young people; including building their confidence & self-esteem, independence, communications and multitasking skills, to name a few. Portsmouth Teenage Project staff are trained and qualified to support young people and accommodate their needs during each activity, regardless of their level of ability, physical or otherwise. Activities for the Project include social clubs, going out for meals, going to the cinema, ten pin bowling, art and crafts activities, baking/cooking, sports and general socialising. We also arrange a variety of day trips outside of the local area for any museums, theatres or theme parks. Once a referral to the Project has been made – this can be by a parent, the young person themselves or a professional – we arrange a home visit to meet the family and have a chat about the Project and what we can offer. A mini bus service is also provided to accommodate for long distance trips. Most activities for the Project take place on a Friday evening. There is no obligation to attend all activities; parents and carers are free to register their son/daughter for as many activities as they please. WWE WRESTLING MASTERCLASS
Friday 7th February: Fancy having a go at being a wrestling champion?
Join us at the Quality Wrestling Academy for our own private non-
contact wrestling ring training, conducted in a safe environment
led by qualified instructors who run weekly all-inclusive workshops.
After our training we have the privilege of watching some of the
professionals perform some live wrestling matches.

VALENTINES BAKE OFF SPECIAL Saturday 15th February: Join us in the kitchen for our Valentines Bake Off Special! We will be baking some jam tarts and love heart biscuits. Plus we will have the opportunity to create our own valentines cards too. Please bring a drink and a Tupperware box Limited wheelchair accessibility
The February Half Term programme is guaranteed to be a fun-filled adventure full of exciting activities and new opportunities. The cost is
only £15 per day so it works out to be only £75 for an action-packed five day programme. Single day bookings are accepted but please
consider some of our days out are number restricted, these spaces will be reserved for those who attend the majority or all days
throughout the programme. Details for each day are stated below with a brief description of the afternoon’s activity.
Monday 17th February – CINEMA TRIP: Join us to watch the newly-released Sonic The Hedgehog film,
staring Jim Carrey as the infamous Dr. Robotnik. After the film, we will enjoy an ice cream at Frankie &
Benny’s. Lunch not included.
Tuesday 18th February – GAME OVER: Our friends at Game Over will be playing host to our young people
at their new base in Landport InterActiv for pizza, chips and video games from the 80s and 90s. There will
be plenty of opportunities to compete with staff and other young people. Lunch will be provided.
Wednesday 19th February – PYRAMIDS SWIMMING: Have a splashing time in the main pool, feel
exhilarated by the fantastic water slides, and feel the ‘motion of the ocean’ and jump the waves. Lunch not
included. Limited wheelchair accessibility.
Thursday 20th February (3-9pm) – REVOLUTION PRO WRESTLING: Meeting at the John Pounds Centre
where we will head off to Portsmouth Guildhall to watch some pro-wrestling. Pick up will be at the back of
Argos. Dinner not included, though McFlurrys will be provided.
Friday 21st February – LAZER QUEST: Join us in the lazer quest arena to prove yourselves as the all-time
greatest shooters and get on the leaderboard. We have three games booked with breaks between each
game. This will then be followed by a visit to one of the great old ships based within the historic dockyard.
Lunch not included. Limited wheelchair accessibility.
GO-KARTING EVENING – Friday 28th February: Come join us for not one, not two but THREE 15- minute races around the TeamSport Go-Karting track in Eastleigh. Please bring a drink
