Requirements What? All EOP students are assigned requirements every semester that must be met to continue being part of EOP and receive EOP services. Plans are based on your SJSU GPA and class level/ earned units Why? EOP requirements are meant to support students be involved in their education and connect with EOP and the SJSU community to create community and a sense of belonging When? Your EOP Plan will be sent to your email via Spartan Connect on Jan. 28 Where? EOP Plans will be posted on the EOP website

Town Hall What is Town Hall? ● Welcome to the semester! We will provide EOP/SJSU updates and important information to support your continue success ● Part of EOP Requirements for all students every semester ● Must submit survey after to receive credit for attending ● Recording will be posted Jan. 28th - on SJSU’s EOP webpage ● Deadline to watch recording AND complete survey is Feb. 6th ● TIP: If you’re here today, complete the survey right after!
Workshops Workshops are designed to help you learn and develop skills that will support your academic and personal growth. ALL EOP students are required to complete 2 workshops by: Friday, April 22, 2022, 11:59pm ● Step 1: Complete TWO (2) Student Lingo/Spartan Success workshops ● Step 2: Submit TWO (2) EOP Workshop Surveys (one survey per workshop) Workshops completed prior to 1/26 will not count towards EOP Workshop requirement
Student Lingo ALL SJSU students have access to Student Lingo/Spartan Success via one.sjsu.edu The Student Lingo Evaluation/ Certificate at the end of video is NOT the same as the EOP Workshop Survey

How does the survey look? ● Be sure to enter your correct SJSU ID# to receive credit. ● The EOP confirmation sent to you will be what is used to give you credit for EOP Workshops. ● EOP will send out requirement confirmations emails at the end of the semester.

New Advising Center Undergraduate Advising and Success Center (UASC) ● Located in ADMIN 150 ● The UASC team will work with undeclared students going forward. Students with a declared major are encouraged to see their college success center advisors and/or major advisor.
MENTORING New Student Mentor Program (NSM) ● Biweekly 1:1 Mentor Meetings ● Monthly Cluster Meetings I Can/I Will Program (ICIW) ● African American/Latino Males ● Biweekly 1:1 Mentor Meetings ● Monthly Cluster Meetings Academic Coaching for Educational Success (ACES) ● Required for continuing students with a SJSU GPA between 2.000 -2.300 ● Biweekly 1:1 Coach Meetings For questions, email Tijan White at tijan.white@sjsu.edu

Grant Funding The EOP Grant is listed as “State Educ Oppo Grant” on your Financial Aid award in MySJSU ● If you’re eligible for the grant, you’ll see it there - if you don’t, check in with us ● The grant is disbursed (paid out) to you at the beginning of the semester, if you’re in good standing with EOP requirements ● If you’re now on EOP Probation this semester, you still need to complete EOP requirements, and then the grant will be disbursed at the *end* of the semester If EOP requirements are NOT completed in a semester: ● You may be placed on “EOP Probation” for the following semester ○ If you complete requirements, the grant will be released by the *end* of that next semester ○ If you do not complete requirements, you will be dismissed from EOP, and you will not receive the grant that semester ● EOP Probation will not affect your enrollment status and academic standing at SJSU
Spartan Scholarship Applications will open early February and are submitted via the Spartan Scholarship application system. Various EOP Scholarships The application will match you with available scholarships for you. *We will send you all an email when the the application opens
Virtual Drop-Ins WED. 1/26 THURS. 1/27 FRI.1 /28 10am-12pm 10am-12pm 10am-12pm Meetings will be 15 mins and designed to help with urgent and quick questions ● Drop-In Advising does not meet your EOP advising requirement ● Drop-in Advising is not for course planning or other longer meetings ● You will receive an email with information about this *If you need further assistance, please contact your assigned advisor.
Instructions for Virtual Drop-Ins Wednesday, January 26 - Friday, January 28 1. Complete the following Google form: https://bit.ly/s22eopdropin 2. Please be patient and on the lookout for an email with a Zoom invite 3. When the next available advisor is free they will send you a Zoom link to meet. This form will open 5 mins before Drop-Ins begin and may close if too many students are on the waitlist. *Please note we will be serving students on a first come first serve basis and there is no guarantee if you fill out this form we will be able to meet with you.
COVID-19 Updates ● Continued Hybrid modality ○ ALL classes will be taught in a fully remote modality from January 26 - February 11 ○ In-person instruction for most classes will begin on February 14 ○ In-person and virtual classes, events, services ● Everyone, regardless of vaccination status, must wear mask when indoors in public spaces ● COVID 19 Vaccine: ○ Must be fully vaccinated if in order to access campus facilities ○ All booster-eligible students who are registered for hybrid or in-person classes are required to update their vaccination status and upload a record of their booster shot by January 31, 2022. Please continue checking your email daily for updates from professors and SJSU
Do I need a MASK? Outdoors Indoors in public spaces VACCINATED EVERYONE Masks = NOT required Masks = REQUIRED As of August 3, 2021, masks or face coverings must be worn by everyone Outdoors while inside campus facilities NOT VACCINATED (and can’t be 6 ft apart) Masks = REQUIRED
Graduation Eligible to apply for graduation when you: ● Earned at least 85 semester units ● Are 1-2 semesters away from completing all degree requirements ● Are in good academic standing (not disqualified from SJSU) One Semester Priority Registration Before you apply: Expected Graduation Deadline ● Review major/minor requirements on MyProgress Fall 2022 March 14, 2022 ● Verify your name, mailing address, diploma address, and email address on MySJSU Two Semester Priority Registration ● Ensure you have declared your major(s) and minor(s) ● Verify application format for your major (Online/Paper) Expected Graduation Deadline ● Meet with major/minor advisor Spring/Summer 2023 March 14, 2022 For more visit: sjsu.edu/registrar/graduation/
