HOW TO GET TO EXPO HOW TO GET TO EXPO MILANO 2015? The Exhibition Area of Expo Milano 2015 is located within few kilometers from Milan, in the North-West part of the city, and is directly connected to all city airports and main public transport systems. Schools can decide how to reach the Exhibition Area, choosing among various means of transportation: • UNDERGROUND: take the red line 1 and get off at the Rho Fieramilano Station/Stop directly connected with the WEST FIORENZA ACCESS at 800 meters (by foot) from the Exhibition Area. • TRAIN: with rail connection provided by Trenitalia, Trenord and Italo to the "Rho Fiera Milano Expo 2015" station, located next to the WEST TRIULZA ACCESS, at 300 meters (by foot) from the exhibition area. • BUS GT rented by the school autonomously, associated with the online purchase of a parking coupon. Parking is possible within the following areas: EAST ACCESS ROSERIO (200 meters walk from the Exhibition Site) SOUTH ACCESS MERLATA (500 meters walk from the Exhibition Site) Please note that you should buy your ticket for the bus GT prior to the date of your visit, to secure your place at one of the parking lots close to the Exhibition Site (Roserio and/or Merlata). Buses without parking ticket will be managed upon their arrival, based on parking availability. Moreover the advanced purchase of the parking coupon is especially recommended for classes that include students with disabilities. This will in fact give a stronger chance to be allocated in the Roserio parking lot, which is closer to the Exhibition site and thus easier to access by everyone. Please note: The purchase of a parking ticket is mandatory, otherwise penalties will be charged for accessing a restricted area without a permit. ■ HOW TO BUY THE TOUR BUS PARKING VOUCHER If you arrive by bus, you can book your parking online, entering not just from Merlata but from Roserio too. Also, as of now you won't have to insert your Expo ticket's code in order to reserve your parking. Finally, remember that gates from Roserio and Merlata open from 9:00 am. To purchase the coupon, visit this website https://parkexpo2015.arriva.it/expo/index.php?lang=en and follow the instructions. The ticket will be sent via email and has to be printed and placed in plain sight on the vehicle upon arrival at the Exhibition Site. HOW TO ACCESS THE EXPO HOW TO ACCESS THE EXPO MILANO 2015? ■ SECURITY CHECKS Expo Milano 2015 is a small town. To ensure the safety of employees and visitors, everyone must be subjected to a security check, such as those that take place in airports. Before crossing the turnstiles, all visitors must pass their bags under the X-ray scanners, let the “sniffers” (special machines that detect the presence of explosives) smell their personal belongings and then walk through a metal detector door. ■ SCHOOL ENTRY Schools can access the security checkpoints via fast tracks (whose number can change on a daily basis according to the actual number of students). These fast tracks can be found in correspondence of each turnstile at the main entrance: WEST FIORENZA ACCESS, WEST TRIULZA ACCESS, SOUTH MERLATA ACCESS and EAST ROSERIO ACCESS. ■ TICKET Once it has been validated, the ticket does not allow you to go out and then get back inside, on the same day. Therefore, before entering please make sure you have everything you need with you.
