What’s it like studying abroad with NMIT in Nelson? I wanted to discover a country that is working in the right way for the environment and the people so New Zealand was my choice to study one semester abroad. As English is not my first language I wanted to study in a native English speaking country that is safe for everyone, especially women travelling on their own. New Zealand was a great opportunity for me to discover myself at the other end of the world. After seeing how kind people are I don’t regret my choice of NMIT.” Svenja Idel, Germany/France Time passes when you have fun, it’s a nice saying that I can absolutely use for my time in New Zealand. Studying abroad is a great opportunity for everyone to become independent, get to know new cultures and countries and see different types of learning around the world with new career ideas. I was positively surprised by the fantastic learning opportunities here at NMIT and the interactive courses with the practice-oriented application. I enjoyed all my courses very much and am glad that I could be there.” Markus, Germany I have really learned so much at NMIT, the tutors are so helpful and always making sure you can be successful, getting hands on experience has made me learn so much since I have been here. I feel like just being here for the short 5 months that I have been is going to help my career, I have been in the winery and vineyard, doing everything that I need to do so have had a lot of experience that will help me get the job I want in the future.” Olivia Cook, USA New Zealand has great diversity of natural environments, some parts are like Norway and then places near Nelson, like Kaiteriteri and Abel Tasman National Park are like tropical places. We had great teachers at NMIT, they were friends as well as teachers which inspired us to work hard.” Jørgen Sovre, Norway
