I have received an update from Calisthenics Victoria regarding the current Novel Coronavirus COVID-19 situation and how it impacts our Calisthenics community. The instructions we, as a sporting club have received from the Victorian Government Department of Health and Human Services, are to encourage our members to continue participation in all aspects of Calisthenics including the upcoming Calisthenics Solo Competitions, set to start this weekend. Please note: if you are feeling unwell or if you have been in close contact with someone who has COVID-19, you should not attend classes or competitions the easiest way to protect yourself and others is to pay attention to good hand hygiene and good respiratory hygiene wash hands often with soap and running water, for at least 20 seconds. Dry with paper towel or hand dryer cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. If you don't have a tissue cough or sneeze into your upper sleeve or elbow try not to touch your eyes, nose or mouth We endeavour to provide you with hand sanitiser at all classes but are having a little trouble sourcing some at the moment. If you have your own please bring it to class but be aware that it will only be useful if it has an alcohol content of more than 60%. Less than 60% will not eliminate any germs present. Please be assured that the health and wellbeing of our members is our utmost priority and we will be following advice given to us by authorities, as it becomes available.
