This year marks the 36th Sage Reading Half Marathon and a new and exciting chapter as new organisers Goldline Events take to the helm. With the aim of making the race even bigger and better, we promise to not only continue the great work Sweatshop has done over the past 15 years but to enhance each and every runner’s experience. I know you have a lot of choice, there are some great races out there, so I’d like to thank you for choosing to run with us. We are very proud that the event is renowned for being one of the best races in the running calendar and we want to ensure this continues so you have the best day possible. Whether this is your first half marathon, you’re a seasoned runner or this is part of your training for a spring marathon, I hope you enjoy all the highlights including the huge crowd support and of course the roar as you enter the Stadium and cross the finish line. At Sage, we love running and raising money for fantastic local charities who do so much for our communities. And we have nothing but admiration for people like you who are taking on a personal challenge today – whether it’s your first run, or you’re going for a PB – it all counts. I am especially proud that the Sage Reading Half Marathon is the final stop on Sage Foundation’s $1 Million Challenge. That’s our pledge at Sage to reach our fundraising goal by running, getting active and having fun, so we can help build a brighter future for our communities around the world – and we are not going to stop until it’s achieved. So far we’ve raised over $900,000 and are hoping to reach our $1 Million target at this year’s Reading Half Marathon. THE GREEN PARK CHALLENGE A33 Longwater Drive THE GREEN PARK CHALLENGE The Green Park Challenge will start on the same start line as the Half Marathon and the race will begin at 08:30. ON ROUTE Whilst running the course please be sure to follow the DRINK STATIONS signs and listen to the instructions of the Marshals.
