COURSE DESCRIPTIONS Terrain: We are headed back to Snow Summit for one of the most grueling courses on the West Coast for Spartan. The terrain is steep and the hills can be relentless. Snow Summit is one of SoCals best ski mountain areas with some formidable runs and incredible views. Racers will earn their medals as they put in massive efforts to get up and down the mountain multiple times to earn their finisher T. The views of Big Bear Lake and the surrounding mountains will not disappoint you. Please be ready for a challenging effort and rest and hydrate well before you arrive. Special Gear: Racers should plan to bring appropriate fuel for their needs. No fuel will be provided on course, only water. Hydration packs (or water containers of some variety) are strongly suggested for all racers. Please note that shoes with spikes are not allowed. Aid Stations: At each stop you will be able to drink as much water as you want, however we ask that you only take one (1) cup. • BEAST: There will be ten (10) aid stations on course with two (2) hydration pack refilling station, and you will be able to fill up your pack at the Start Line. Two (2) aid stations will include Skratch Lab products. • SPRINT: There will be three (3) aid stations on course with no hydration pack refilling station, however you will be able to fill up your pack at the Start Line.
