Thank you Montgomery County Community Foundation for our 2022 Storage Grant! This grant allowed us to purchase new shelving and other storage options so we can better organize our exhibit and programming supplies. We were also able to update the furniture in the staff workroom, which had been cobbled together from donations of used furniture back in 2007. We are most excited about the purchase of the movable wall that we’ve already put to use. This wall not only allows us to block off a section of our gallery space to create a storage area for large items, but it also acts as extra display space for our exhibits. See it in action below during the Crawfordsville Schools Art Extravaganza! Before: After! Request for Artifacts for our Upcoming Exhibit on Lincoln School! We are currently working on a new exhibit about the history of Lincoln School, which will open in late September 2023. A school building’s four walls do not make the heart of the structure; the people within do. The exhibit will tell the story of both the people and the two school buildings. If you have school artifacts or memories to share, please contact curator Janna Bennett at jbenett.carnegie@cdpl.lib.in.us or Second building on E. Wabash Ave. 765-362-4622.
