New magazine for Year 11s. • The new issue of Decisionz magazine is now available online: http://magazine.decisionz.co.uk/books/gpph/ • It contains local careers information and advice, with articles on filling out application forms, young people’s rights at work and advice about Higher Education.

• Year 11 students – not yet applied Reaseheath College are still accepting applications. All interviews will be done via telephone by lecturing staff (numbers will show up as ‘withheld’ on your phone). Places will be offered based on predicted grades until final grades are received (this has always been the case). Where final grades are different, the College will discuss the options with students to see whether another course or level is appropriate instead. • Applicant Visit Days/Taster Sessions These events have been cancelled due to COVID-19 so Reaseheath College have launched a new Applicants Hub to give students a central place to find out more about the college and prepare for life as a Reaseheath student. It includes details about transport, kit lists, recommended reading, research and quizzes. The Hub will be updated throughout the summer. Corpus Christi College Oxford • The University of Oxford has put together a comprehensive list of suggested reading and activities for all year groups. College updates • Macclesfield College Year 10 Taster Days in June have been cancelled. There will be a Virtual Open Day on 11th June. More details will be available soon. • Marple Sixth Form College are planning Virtual Taster Days for Year 10s and Virtual Open Days for Year 11 prospective students. More details will be available soon.
The Manchester College • Pupils who have applied for Acting, Dance and Musical Theatre courses would normally have an audition as part of their application. This year applicants will instead be asked to submit a ‘self-taped’ audition. All applicants should have received an email about this with details on how to make and send the videos. • If any pupils with an offer from The Manchester College would like advice about accepting their offer or need any further support, we can organise a call with the college’s Schools Liaison Team. Barclays Life Skills • The Barclays Life Skills website has a number of videos, jobs quizzes and interactive tools to help you think about your strengths, personality traits and interests. Virtual Work Experience • Barclays Life Skills also offers ‘Virtual Work Experience’ for young people. There is limited information available at the moment, but you can email an 'expression of interest’ to info@wearetakepart.com, or check their Facebook page for further details. • Business Administration Apprentice, NSPP Based in Glossop, to start at the end of May. NSPP are an online retailer/wholesaler. They are looking to recruit a reliable, motivated, computer literate Apprentice. The company creates handmade, personalised gifts, and responsibilities include processing orders, helping prepare for dispatch and some control of social media platforms.
