All PHHS, face-to-face and virtual learning, students will be able to take advantage of this free opportunity; there is not a make-up date. Virtual Learning students will rsvp with Ms. Ortiz by April 1st. The test will provide students with the opportunity to get a baseline score to pursue their post-secondary goals. We encourage our juniors to eat breakfast, get a good night’s sleep Monday evening and be prepared to test for over 4 hours. Students are expected to be on time to school and report to their B1 class to receive their testing pass. Students may bring snacks and water to eat during the section breaks. Calculators will be provided but students may bring their own college board approved calculator. Questions regarding the SAT School Day test can be directed to Ms. Ortiz, tortiz@bcps.org or 443-809-8856. 1|Page
SAT PREP CLASS The SAT will be administered to all PHHS Juniors on April 26 during the school day free of charge. While many colleges are test-optional, this does not mean "test- blind". What does that mean for you? If you have a good SAT score and submit that score to a college your chances of admission may be greater than a student who does not send scores. The Answer Class helps students gain confidence in their test-taking abilities and teaches tips and strategies on timing, guessing, and scoring – all without breaking the bank! LIBRARY / MEDIA CENTER Calling all Gators! It’s book ordering time once again and as I do each year, I am asking for recommendations from students. What do you want to be reading? Please add your suggestions to the box in the library or message them to me in Schoology by Friday, January 28 to be considered for this year’s book order. Some helpful things to note: • I have a specific selection policy which requires two positive editorial reviews among other criteria. I will not be able to order titles that do not meet the criteria. • You can see what is already in our library collection by visiting https://baltimore.follettdestiny.com/. Click Perry Hall High School and browse or search for titles. While you are there, check out an e- book or audiobook! You can also use the Destiny Discover app! 10 | P a g e

Student athletes will be allotted 2 tickets for parents or guardians only for both the home and visiting teams. No children, students or general public will be allowed to attend. This applies to Boy’s and Girls’ Basketball, and Wrestling. The Baltimore 5th Regiment Armory is continuing their No Spectator policy for Indoor Track. Tickets must be purchased through TicketSpicket and be confirmed at the door. Below are some general PHHS gym rules for spectators this winter. 1. Tickets may be purchased on Ticketspicket.com 2 adult tickets per athlete only. No students or children!!! 2. Everyone must park in the Fine Arts Lobby Parking lot and enter the gym around back of the building. 3. The double doors at the bottom of the ramp to the stadium will be the only entrance to the gym! 4. At the end of the game or match the only exits will be the back doors in the gym. 5. Bathrooms will be in the locker rooms at the end of the hallways on both sides of the gym. 6. Boys’ bathroom is on the right side of the gym and the girls is on the left side of the gym as you are facing the court from the stands. 11 | P a g e
