Summer Workshop 2020 3-7 August Workshop Details The workshop is focused on usage of the tool Blender. It is an open-source 3D computer graphics software toolset used for creating animated films, visual effects, art, 3D printed models, motion graphics, interactive 3D applications, and computer games. It is a professional tool that is used, for example and as of this year, by Ubisoft Animation Studio. Each participant is provided, for the duration of the workshop, with all the required equipment. Namely, a personal desktop computer with the appropriate software and tools preinstalled. Participants who prefer bringing their own computer can do so too (let us know in advance so we can provide you with the appropriate software packages). Beginners are welcome as the workshop will be covering all the required fundamentals. The workshop is designed and tailored for teenagers (ages 14-25), but all generations are welcome. The only requirement is a desire to learn about 3D worlds and videogame asset/scene development! The workshop is very hands-on: the teacher presents and explains notions on a big-screen TV, and participants, under his guidance and with his help, get to immediately implement and experiment with them. By the end of the workshop, participants will have understood and practiced with all the fundamentals of 3D art creation, and will have created their own low poly assets or videogame scene!
