The City of Oshawa Recreation & Culture Services provides integrated camp experiences for eligible
children who beneft from 1:1 support to be successful. To confrm inclusion support, register for camp as
well as the applicable inclusion course ID for that camp week. Allocation of inclusion support will be flled
in order of request and based on the availability of appropriate inclusion staf.

How do I know if inclusion support is required?
Inclusion support may be benefcial if your child:
• receives additional support at school
• receives support at home for basic are

Our Inclusion Staf receive training in working with individuals with special needs but do not have professional qualifcations in this feld.
Inclusion services are not available for “Kids in the Marsh” camp, Youth Leadership Programs or the Playground Program.

Ages 4-6 years and 6-12 years
Mad Science camps are designed for exciting, fun, hands-on science activities. Campers will become
junior scientists for the week, having the opportunity to experience weekly science adventures including:
Eureka, Science Adventures, Machine Maniacs. Science Sleuths and Brixology. Mad Science uses an
inquiry-based technique that allows even the youngest camper to enjoy learning. Campers will design,
create, build and assemble a variety of interesting projects and will take at least one project home every
day. All materials and supplies are included in the camp fee. Campers are to provide their own peanut-
free lunch, beverages and snacks; dress comfortably and come ready to have some fun! Extended
supervision is not available.

Ages 4-6 years Ages 7-13 years
This camp focuses on fun while developing social, Beginners will learn stance, balance, proper

In partnership with Oshawa Fire Services, campers will learn life skills, such as fre
prevention, what to do in a fre emergency as well as fre fghter basics such as
using a fre extinguisher, fre hose, ropes and knots. Campers will also participate
in camp games, activities and enjoy recreational activities at Delpark Homes Centre throughout the week.

Campers will learn basic Karate skills and techniques. Campers will learn basic tennis and badminton
No previous Karate experience is required. Campers racquet strokes, play mini games and learn lawn

Free Drop-in Playground Program
Ages 5-12 years
In a neighbourhood park near you!
Play leaders will provide fun and exciting play opportunities
for children ages 5-12 at variety of neighbourhood park
locations. Participate in games, sports, crafts and great
special events. This is a DROP-IN program and children are Ofered July 6 to August 28
free to come and go as they wish. Playground staf are not
responsible for children once they leave the playground area. Under and over-age children are not
permitted (proof of age may be required).
All participants are required to complete an emergency contact form before participating in the program.
Forms can be found online at oshawa.ca/camps or in-person at the nearest park location to their home
on the frst day they attend the program.
Locations and times are subject to change/cancellation due to low attendance, inclement weather and
heat alerts.
