August 2021 Page 3 PRESIDENT’S MESSAGE Welcome to Cape Coral New Residence! We are all so blessed to be able to live here in paradise, one of the most beautiful parts of the United States! I am thankful for our great volunteers on Board 108 who continue to bring new and exciting ideas to the club. It is a pleasure getting to work with all of the wonderful Board members and I thank them all for volun- teering. Check out all the new activities that are being planned for our club. It is such an exciting time as we see our membership continue to grow. For those new to our community and the NRC, you will find that getting involved in as many activities as possible is the best way to get to know other members and make friends that will become your Southwest Florida family. The more you put into the NRC, the more you will get out of it. Every month we have many activities that you can join to get out and make new friends. On the 1st of each month, all activities for that month are open for signup at capecoral- newresident.com. You can also sign up at the general meeting on the first Tuesday of every month. We occasionally open activities early if it is planned for very early in the month. Watch the Members Only New Resident Club Face Book page for notice of early opening activities. There are many activities such as Cocktails on the Cape, Dinner Dance, Ladies’ Luncheon, Men’s Breakfast, various sports events and social interest activities that are on the calendar every month. Welcome to our new NRC members and welcome back to many that we have not seen in a while. Thanks to everyone for your dedication to keeping our club moving forward! Mary Vuncanno President, Board 108 Board 108 still has a vacant position that needs to be filled: ***PUBLICITY DIRECTOR*** Like to meet new people? Want to introduce new members to the club? Then this is the position for you!! Contact Mary Vuncannon at nrcpres@gmail.com to Volunteer or for more information. Notice: It is becoming more difficult to find a restaurant in the Cape Coral area to host our Ladies Luncheon capacity requirements; therefore, we are looking at restaurants in the Fort Myers area. n
