ANGEL TREE THANK YOU & UPDATE from Coordinator Nancy Gossow Thanks to the generosity of the St. Luke congregation we were able to deliver 82 beautiful gifts to children on Long Island this year. My husband Ron, Helga Bednarz and I loaded the gifts into my “sleigh” and off we went to homes in Nassau, Suffolk and Queens. The joy in which these gifts are received is immeasurable and we were deeply touched by the gratitude shown from these families. One special memory was from a woman who declined to accept the gifts for her three grandchildren stating that they already received the greatest gift of all. Apparently her daughter who was incarcerated was released from prison earlier than expected and was now home with the family. She asked if I would please deliver the gifts to some other children who were not as fortunate which we were happy to do. This project is so important and rewarding in so many ways and could not be done without the generosity of the people in the St. Luke Family. Many thanks. May God continue to bless all of you. 6
