That’s why we offer industry-leading benefits you need to feel and be your best. We want our employees to have a healthy, rewarding, balanced and meaningful experience — both at work and in life.
PHYSICAL Wellbeing MEDICAL BENEFITS When it comes to your medical coverage, it’s not one-size-fits-all — maybe you need to visit a doctor regularly, or maybe you just go for annual checkups. No matter what level of coverage you need, we know you care about both choice and value. That’s why we offer two medical plans administered by UnitedHealthcare (UHC) — the Consumer Plan with Health Savings Account (HSA) and the more traditional Classic Plan — giving you the ability to select the plan that best fits your medical and financial needs. Whichever plan you choose, you will receive 100% coverage for in-network preventive services, such as physical exams, immunizations and mammograms — with no deductibles, no copays and no coinsurance. When you elect the Consumer Plan with HSA, you may contribute to an HSA. This is a personal savings account that allows you to make before-tax payroll contributions. Hearst may also contribute annually to your HSA. The funds roll over from year to year and the account offers a triple tax advantage — you can save, invest and use the money for eligible reimbursements, all tax-free. When you choose the Classic Plan, you may contribute to a Healthcare Flexible Spending Account (FSA) to help pay for eligible health, dental and vision out-of-pocket expenses. For 2022, you may roll over any unused contributions to the following year as long as you continue to participate in a Healthcare FSA.
