Free Online Learning Opportunities The Wales Deanery provides various online learning modules via the CPD pages: gpcpd.walesdeanery.org These pages consist of 25 modules covering both clinical and non-clinical topics, and includes over 100 hours of CPD, as well as various toolkits for in-house practice meetings. (Topics include: Parkinson’s Disease, Dementia in Primary Care, Reflection and Familial Breast Cancer)

NICE BNF and BNFC Apps for Apple and Android Devices The NICE BNF and BNFC apps are available to NHS Wales staff from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. The apps provide downloadable content, and can operate even if there is no network access. To activate, you will need to log in using your Athens ID and password. Health for Health Professionals Wales Support for doctors with health problems The Health for Health Professionals (HHP) Wales Helpline is a new face-to- face counselling service for all doctors in Wales. Provides doctors with access to a therapist accredited by the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies in their own area. Service is confidential, and is fully funded for doctors in Wales by the Welsh Government. DENTAL NEWS WHAT… The Dental postgraduate Section, Wales Deanery has procured a NEW online course booking system, which launched on 3 April 2017. WHO… All members of the dental profession will be required to register on this new system in order to find and book onto, any courses provided by the department. WHEN… All courses after 3 April 2017 will need to be booked via the link below. WHY… This new system has many improved features which includes the ability to manage your bookings and make payments online. NHS Wales NADEX Accounts The NADEX Service, managed by NHS Wales Informatics Service, has introduced a new process for managing your account. Why do we need a new process? We realise that in the past there has been some delays for some doctors, in accessing email and the Clinical Portal. We need to improve the service provided for you. WALES DEANERY – WELSH DENTAL THERAPIST FOUNDATION TRAINING PROGRAMME Are you newly or recently qualified as a Dental Therapist? Working part-time or in a temporary post? Looking to get back to working as a Dental Therapist? The WDTFT Programme is focused on providing the training and education required to integrate as a Dental Therapist in General Dental Practice.
