Graduation Pictures Kinder and eighth grade students will take graduation pictures on Wednesday, March 30th. They should wear their Mass uniform. Cap and gown will be provided for the pictures. PTC-tickets Raffle and BBQ plate tickets are ready for pick-up in the office. Please be sure to pick up your tickets. Attendance Please be sure you monitor your child’s attendance. Students should not have more than 18 absences in a school year. We want to be sure students are present in order to receive all of the instructional content. Field Day Field Day will take place on Friday, April 29th. We will need parent volunteers for this event. If you would like to volunteer, please be sure you have a cleared background check through the Archdiocese and have completed VIRTUS. Eighth Grade Lenten Initiative The SJB 8th Grade Class is still selling bracelets that serve as a reminder of the Lenten season and our commitment as Catholics. Please consider supporting them in this endeavor. Starbase Kelly This week, students from 5th, 7th, & 8th grade began their five-day series of STEM learning opportunities at Joint Base San Antonio. Starbase Kelly is part of Starbase, a national initiative funded by the Department of Defense to foster students’ interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Our SJB students will return to base on March 29th to continue the program. Shoebox Parade On Thursday, April 7th, SJB school will resume its annual tradition of a Fiesta Shoebox Parade. Each student should decorate a small box (about the size of a shoebox) with the theme of his/her choice. Students should be able to carry or pull their Shoebox float during the parade. We invite you all to join us for this event. The parade will begin at 2:20 PM. Students may wear Fiesta colors that day. Page 3 of 4
