             FROM OUR PASTOR
   Dear Parishioners,
On this special Sunday we celebrate The Feast of The Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, also
known as Corpus Christi. The center of our faith is the Eucharist, the food that nourishes our body, soul,
and mind. At the last supper Jesus instituted this special sacrament so our Lord would always be within
us to guide and give us strength. We, as Catholics, believe in Real Presence, that the bread and wine on
our altar of sacrifice truly become the body and blood of Jesus. This is one of the great mysteries of our
faith which we know to be true and absolute. As we receive daily nourishment through foods we buy at
various grocery stores, we know that the spiritual nourishment we receive in the gift of the Most Holy
Eucharist is even more vital for our eternal salvation.
As we celebrate Father’s Day, let us pray for our fathers that they may be inspired by the example of
St. Joseph who protected, loved, and provided for Jesus and Mary. We should all be thankful to God for
the gift of fatherhood; not only for our biological fathers but for those who have taken a paternal role in
our lives guiding, supporting, caring, and loving us. And let us also pray for our deceased fathers, may
we never forget the love that they had for us, may they enjoy heavenly rewards for all their labors and
may they rest peacefully in God’s hands.
Many times in the Gospel, we see Jesus “take a break” and gather with family, apostles, followers,
tax collectors, and many others at weddings, dinners, and similar impromptu gatherings. For Christ, this
was an opportunity to relax and share another dimension of His life with humanity. The parish picnic
can do the same for us; a time to relax, laugh, dance, and share a part of ourselves with parishioners in
the spirit of love. Plan on attending the picnic next Sunday after the 11:30 Mass. As I stated at Mass
last weekend this is the first picnic we’ve had since the pandemic began in 2020. This is the perfect time
for us to reconnect socially with one another. Let’s face it folks, it’s a free meal and free fun. Please
come and join us. Turn to page ten for more information.
                                                                                       God Bless,
                                                                                       Father Marty

Heavenly Father, you entrusted your Son Jesus,
the child of Mary, to the care of Joseph, an earthly father.
Bless all fathers as they care for their families.
                                                           Give them strength and wisdom,
                                                               tenderness and patience;
support them in the work they have to do,
protecting those who look to them,
as we look to You for love and salvation,
through Jesus Christ our rock and defender,
in union with the Holy Spirit, one God forever and ever.
St. Joseph, Pray for all our Fathers. Amen

Lord Jesus, you speak to us today, as you spoke to stay together in charity

to hear you clearly May their example and presence inspire us with
to listen to each other attentively patient con idence in the work of your grace.
to imagine our future boldly We ask this of you who live and reign with the

to persevere in your holy will courageously forever and ever. Amen
