Somak was founded in 1968 and has remained a family- run company ever since. The company's roots, formerly just in East Africa, have expanded right across Southern Africa as well. The whole Somak team, both in the UK and Africa, is dedicated to bringing you a friendly, knowledgeable and personalised service, a wide choice of options, and exceptional value for money. Most of the Somak team have been with the company for many years. They regularly visit all of the destinations in our portfolio, so they really do know East and Southern Africa and are genuinely passionate about Africa. This year we are celebrating 50 years’ experience in arranging holidays to Africa.
