Travel planning can turn into a nightmare if you’re not used to doing this kind of planning which is where we come in! We specialise in senior adventures and bespoke trips handcrafted with you and your travel group in mind. We are here to help you make the most of your experience and add value to every single trip you take with us. It has always been our objective to provide reliable transportation services at a reasonable cost. Our staff treat each passenger with the same consideration and care they would give to their loved ones. We have always acted on the principle that we would rather lose money than the confidence of our customers. We love what we do and always strive to provide the best service, value, and experience for all our guests onboard. Occasionally breakdowns and flat tyres do happen, but our drivers will swing into action to get your trip back on the road as soon as possible. Our drivers’ local road knowledge to find the best routes will ensure your safe and timely arrival. We handpick our coach drivers for their safe driving experience and their pleasant, helpful attitude to ensure a happy and memorable trip for you and your travel group. Our drivers are patient, friendly, and always willing go that extra mile to assist you and your guests. They don’t just “drive and drop off”. From the cheery “G’day!” at the door, they take an interest in you and your group, and will point out landmarks and give you expert commentary from start to finish. When you travel with us you’re not just a customer, you’re part of our family.
Page | 3 Our Fleet Our fleet of buses and coaches are our family and that’s why each of them have been christened with their very own name, and some interesting stories to match! Our coaches can carry from 12 passengers in Tiny to 61 seated passengers with our own version of royalty, Sir Terry, providing extra seating space for a truly relaxing ride. We offer air-conditioned coaches with on-board entertainment available, and all our vehicles are fitted with communication equipment to ensure a seamless trip. We also have a fleet of low floor buses that can be used for short local trips and have wheelchair access available. Our Pricing We know that one size doesn’t fit all and each charter is different. Want a little more space on the seat or only need our small 12 person coach? We tailor-make our quotes and price up the best option to suit your needs. Our pricing is all inclusive of coach hire, lunch, and activities unless otherwise stated. Please note costs are calculated based on a minimum of 30 customers and a maximum of 50, and may fluctuate slightly dependent on numbers, pick up location, and meal choice. We can also quote for coach and driver only, if you have somewhere organised to go. We can provide morning tea facilities including tea, coffee and snacks for a small additional cost of $2.00 per person. We stop for morning tea along the way before reaching our country destination. Experience a warm country welcome as the Dennis family takes you through the history of dairy farming, from the days of the horse and cart all the way through to the introduction of electricity and the current high-tech LELY Robotic Milking System. Bringing an Esky or cooler bag is a must, as we get the chance to purchase the Robotic Dairy’s delicious milk, cheeses, and yoghurts after the day. Stroll through the historic 1800’ss homesteads, the fully restored Auchenflower House, and Taabinga Chapel before meeting the locals and their friendly farmyard animals! Learn about a day in the life on a sheep station and the wonderful Kelpies who keep the show running. There are over six themed zones for us to explore, stretched out over 1400 square metres and clearly marked ‘photo points’ on the ground to ensure you snap the perfect souvenir. Page | 6 Awassi Cheesery - Grantham We drive out to the rich farmlands just an hour west of Brisbane to experience true farm to table at this boutique dairy and sheep farm. Learn about the cheese-making process from paddock, to the milking parlour, to the cheesery and enjoy a scrumptious cheese tasting and lunch surrounded by avocado groves. Make sure to bring spending money as Awassi has their cheeses and all natural cosmetic and skin care range for sale direct from the farm. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesdays have also been allocated for bus groups which means the farm will be exclusively yours to explore. The ferry ride is followed by lunch at one of the islands or back on the mainland at one of the many delicious options available on the bayside. Page | 7 Beenleigh Rum Distillery Adventure - Eagleby Today we travel to an iconic Queensland attraction to explore Australia’s oldest registered and continuously working distillery. After our morning tea at the Logan River Parklands we embark on a tour to get the inside story about the distillery’s history and the process of crafting quality Australian Rum. This tour is followed by a tavern lunch at the local pub to round out a delicious day of food and drink before heading back home. Page | 8 Boggo Road Gaol - Dutton Park Once known as Australia’s most notorious prison, Boggo Road Gaol housed many infamous inmates during its 119 years of operation, with its stark red brick walls and imposing guard tower dominating Brisbane’s skyline. We explore the history of numerous dramatic escapes, riots, and hunger strikes that lead to the prison’s closure in July 1992, and learn what life was like at the infamous prison. Since 2012 Boggo Road Gaol has conducted historic tours and experiences for anyone with the stomach to visit Brisbane’s haunted prison, with four different experiences to choose from. Our tour starts with a brief documentary viewing before diving into an interactive sensory adventure through the coffee journey. Explore your way through three sections to snag a bargain, whether it’s the $2.50 section, the high quality with prices as marked, or the bargain $1.00 section there is something for everyone. P a g e | 19 Strawberry Picking - Logan and Sunshine Coast Region A perfect reason to get out into the winter sunshine and taste some of the most delicious and fresh strawberries available in Brisbane. Strawberry picking is a great activity to do as a group and are a delicious treat for yourself or a thoughtful gift for someone else. We stop for morning tea on the way to your preferred strawberry farm before jumping in to pick the firmest and plumpest fruit around. Top Tips: Wear comfortable clothing and either closed in shoes or a change of shoes as you will get dirty foraging for strawberries. Pricing does vary based on wholesale price at each farm and don’t forget the redder the better when selecting your strawberries! P a g e | 34 Terms and Conditions By confirming your booking with Mt Gravatt Coach & Travel (OA: 900 261 908), you accept the following terms and conditions will apply: QUOTATIONS AND CONFIRMATIONS • All quotations and Confirmations provided by Mt Gravatt Coach & Travel are based on the original information as supplied. Once booking details are confirmed any variations to the original quotations or confirmation details may incur additional costs. • Quotations are valid for 28 days from date of quotation and will need to be requoted after this period. • When a booking has been confirmed, any amendments to the booking on the day of the charter may incur additional charges and fees. PRICING AND PAYMENT Below are the following preferred methods of payment accepted by Mt Gravatt Coach & Travel: • Direct Payment – Payments can be made directly into our account at least 72 hours prior to the departure date. Bank details will be provided on our invoice. • Credit or Debit Card - Payments can be made over the phone or in person at least 24 hours prior to the departure date. Alternative payment methods available by request: • Business Cheques and Personal Cheques CANCELLATION NOTIFICATION AND FEES • No charge applies when cancellations are advised at least 24 hours prior to collection time via phone and email. Please note that all cancellations must be made directly to a Mt Gravatt Coach & Travel staff member. • 50% of the quoted amount as per the booking may be invoiced if the booking is cancelled within 12 hours of the collection time on a weekday. Full quoted amount may be invoiced if a weekend booking is cancelled less than twelve hours prior to collection time. Cancellation must be notified via phone and email. • If our Coaches or Buses are onsite at the pickup location, and are not required (and have not been cancelled prior) the full amount may be invoiced as per the booking. • In addition to the above cancellation fees, any associated costs may be added to your invoice. These costs may include, but are not limited to, catering, accommodation and venue fees or barge fees, which were required to secure your booking. LATE RETURN FEES • Late Return fees may apply in the event that a chartered bus departs later than the time specified by the booking party. • If the bus departs 15 minutes after the confirmed return time a late fee of $55 including GST may apply. • A further fee of $55 including GST may apply for every 15 minute increment (or part there of) thereafter. (This will increase for weekend Charters and Public Holidays.) • Any Late Return fees incurred will be notified in writing via email following the charter and will appear on the final invoice issued.
P a g e | 35 Terms & Conditions Continued DAMAGE TO THE VEHICLE • As a direct result of your booking, if there is any damage or unreasonable soiling caused to the vehicle Mt Gravatt Coach & Travel will invoice for all costs to repair and/or clean the vehicle. LOST PROPERTY • All lost property will be returned to our depot and registered in our Lost and Found Register. Please contact the office regarding any lost property during our office hours, 8am – 5 pm Monday to Friday, on (07) 3808 7800. BUS POLICIES • No smoking is permitted on any of our vehicles at any time or within 5m of the bus or coach entrance door(s). • Food and drink are not to be consumed on the vehicle. Alcohol is not permitted on board at any time. • Seat belts must be worn on vehicles which are equipped with belts. • All passengers must remain seated while the vehicle is moving except when travelling on a non belted bus where standing is permitted if there are no seats available. • Passengers are not permitted to place any part of their body outside the vehicle whilst the vehicle is moving. • If the planned timings of the charter are disrupted for any reason beyond the control of Mt Gravatt Coach & Travel (e.g. mechanical failure, road, traffic, weather conditions), the Company will not be held responsible for any losses. • Mt Gravatt Coach & Travel reserves the right to terminate a charter if any actions are deemed threatening and/ or unsafe to the driver or other passengers. Under the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL), any person or group hiring a Mt Gravatt Coach & Travel vehicle must comply with the below: • To not, at any time or for any reason, request that a Mt Gravatt Coach & Travel driver exceed the speed limit or commit any other traffic offence. • To not, at any time or for any reason, request that a Mt Gravatt Coach & Travel driver exceed their fatigue management guidelines. • To not, at any time or for any reason, request to or knowingly overload a Mt Gravatt Coach & Travel bus or coach.
