Solar Powered Candle Making!
Sunbeam Candles is committed to sustainability and socially-
responsible business. Our candle shop is solar-powered. In
addition we ship carbon-neutral, compost, recycle, carpool,
support local businesses, and are a certified living wage
employer. We truly make earth-friendly candles!
Our mission consists of three interrelated parts:
Product Mission: To hand craft, distribute and sell the
highest quality candles at the least cost to Mother Earth with
unequivocal attention to detail incorporating the most natural
and wholesome ingredients available.
Social Mission: To operate the company in a way that
minimizes our carbon footprint, maximizes the health and
happiness of our employees and customers, and supports
humanitarian organizations that align with our progressive
values.
Economic Mission: To operate the company on a sustainable basis of profitable growth,
creating new opportunities for development and career growth for our employees.
Green Business Factors
Solar Powered!
Sunbeam Candles runs on a 3,520W solar photovoltaic
system. This system generates roughly 3,750 kWh per year
of pollution-free electricity. Any additional power required
we obtain from suppliers producing 100% renewable energy
(from wind, hydro-power and biomass energy), so all the
energy we use at Sunbeam is renewable—guaranteed.

About us
Carbon Neutral Shipping
We ship all packages “carbon neutral” through UPS in an effort to offset the climatic impact
of delivering our packages. With this program UPS invests in reforestation and other
projects that reduce the carbon level in the atmosphere and base their investments on how
much carbon is actually released in the delivery process for each shipment we send. This
essentially offsets the environmental impact of shipping with Sunbeam Candles. Visit

as green and clean as possible in our everyday business.
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
We reuse and recycle all of our leftover wax from production,
and fill only one bag per week of garbage. We also recycle all
cardboard, plastic, plastic bags, and paper waste. Our paper
products are 100% post-consumer waste and chlorine free,
and we use recycled office paper for printing in the office. We
love to carpool—it saves gas and money, and helps us feel
connected too. We also compost all food waste from the shop.
The compost is used to grow food and nourish flowers in the
gardens around the candle shop.
Philanthropy
Working for Harmony—The Bees!
Honeybees are essential not only for the livelihoods of beekeepers and beeswax candle makers,
but also for our food systems! The importance of honeybees to our global food system is
becoming wider known, better understood, and more deeply investigated as colony collapse has
become more prevalent over recent years. Sunbeam Candles has recently experienced first-hand
the effects that diminishing hive health has had on beeswax cost and supply. We are proud to
support the Pollinator Partnership, an organization that partners with many groups to educate,
inform, research, and take action on the health of honeybee hives. Their mission is to promote and
revitalize the future of these vital insects and educate the public as to how critical they are for our

Beeswax is one of Mother Nature's many special gifts. It releases a naturally sweet, honey-
like aroma and possesses transformative, air-cleansing qualities, emitting negative ions
when burned. Negative ions produced from beeswax draw out toxins, dust, pollen, mold
and mildew from the air helping you to breathe easier. Burning beeswax candles can be
beneficial to those typically sensitive to environmental pollutants.
When used for fuel, beeswax burns longer than any
other wax. It is nature’s most versatile wax, with many
uses beyond candles including for balms, lotions,
ointments, soaps, cosmetics, grooming, food glaze,
candy making, wood finish and sealer, as well as in arts
and crafts—including painting, sculpture, sewing, batik,
and metalworking—and sports such as archery!
At Sunbeam Candles, we only use beeswax harvested
in the United States, working with local and regional
beekeepers as frequently as possible.

Our Red Beeswax Pillars have a smooth finish and are
available in 3"x6", 3"x4", 2"x6", and 2"x3" sizes.
Tapers
Our hand-dipped beeswax tapers are nationally-
renowned. We craft each pair of tapers with a beautiful
drip bottom finish making them suitable for many styles of
taper holders. Sunbeam Candles' tapers are 10" long and
available in both natural and red.
Celebration Candles
Celebrate special occasions throughout the year with our 100% pure
beeswax 5" hand-dipped tapers. Celebration Candles are perfect
for birthdays, weddings, holidays, or anytime! They are a wonderful
alternative to paraffin based birthday candles. Packed twelve candles
per box, eight boxes per case, they are available in natural color only.

Love Beeswax Pillars are available in four sizes, and are unscented.
They are crafted with 100% beeswax and our eco-friendly dyes.
The fronts of the labels feature an original wildflower wreath
design surrounding the cut-out heart to reveal the beautiful red
beeswax candle beneath. The backs of the labels feature the word
“Love” printed in six different languages surrounding a heart. The
label is surely a collector’s item. The Love Beeswax Pillar collection
is available throughout the year.

Brighten your home and add color to your life. Unscented Soy Pillars are
crafted with certified non-GMO soy wax from soy beans grown in the United
States and blended with all natural botanical oils and eco-friendly dyes. We
highlight our non-GMO distinction on our labels. Soy wax is one of the
cleanest burning waxes available and has a beautiful even burn incomparable
to other waxes. Soy wax is hypoallergenic and biodegradable, making this
line perfect for chemically sensitive customers.

Aromatherapy is the art of using pure essential oils extracted from plant parts,
flowers, woods, and roots to stimulate the production of neurochemicals that

We understand the power of aromatherapy and we use only 100% pure

The 100% recycled wax candle! At Sunbeam Candles
we take our commitment to sustainability seriously and
are always looking for new ways to reuse and recycle.
That’s why we have created the Good Earth Candle.
This candle is a blend of the scrap wax we
recapture in production. It includes a mix of
beeswax, soy wax, palm oil, paraffin, and a variety of
100% essential oils. The wick is
100% cotton. The tin is made from
at least 30% recycled material
and can be reused or recycled.
16 ounces of Earth-friendly light!
Recommended, but not limited to outdoor use.

Sunbeam Candles always seeks the purest and most local sources of ingredients available. Our
beeswax and soy wax are harvested in the United States. We maintain a personal relationship
with many local and regional beekeepers who sell us their entire harvest each year.
Our soy wax is certified non-GMO and contains no petroleum, pesticides, or herbicides. It is
also biodegradable and not subject to animal testing.
All of our aromatherapy lines are scented with 100% pure essential oils–never chemical
fragrances.
All of our wicks are free of lead and are100% cotton. Our dyes are environmentally friendly
and do not contain hazardous solvents or additives such as naptha or naphthalene. No
ingredients in our dyes are on the California Prop 65 list of cancer causing ingredients, and
our dyes are never tested on animals.
