We are delighted to host our WCC for the first time in Europe. The Association of European Candle Makers (AECM), the European Candle Association (ECA), and the Latin American Candle Manufactures Association (ALAFAVE) are jointly organizing this world- class barrier braking, global event. The venue is the Crown Plaza Hotel, conveniently located in the cultural heart of Barcelona, Spain. Our mission is to strengthen and grow the candle industry worldwide. The focus of our technical agenda is to bring exclusive data for our candle manufacturers to acquire key facts; applicable to their business in today’s rapid changing economy. The expo will be a unique opportunity for suppliers to showcase and market their products; we are expecting over 500 attendees from about 30 countries. 8 2019, April 28th - May 1st PART 1 HOW TO ACCESS BARCELONA SANTS TRAIN STATION HOTEL CROWNE PLAZA BARCELONA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT To get to or from Barcelona airport, there is a varied range of public transport by bus, as well as a metro line (T1 and T2 terminals) and a train service run by R2 North line Rodalies de Catalunya (T2 terminal) and also taxi and private transfers. Some of the bus routes begin and end at the T1 terminal. Other bus routes and the Rodalies de Catalunya R2 North railway line begin and end only at terminal T2. There is a free shuttle bus connection between the T1 and T2 terminals. The integrated tickets offers the chance to link with other networks or types of public transport (metro, tram, the Rodalies de Catalunya and FGC rail services, and metropolitan, inter-urban and night bus services). It takes around 25 to 50 minutes to arrive from the airport to the hotel (depending on the transport and the traffic) and cost may vary between 4,60 euros (metro) and 25-30 euros (taxi). They are numbered so that you can select the space that you require. The allocation of the spaces will be upon the reception of a signed contract indicating the number of the booth and on a strict “first come, first served” basis. The Technical Sectretariat will re-confirm the availability of the chosen stand. The measurements and location of the stand spaces may be altered or modified for security or organizational reasons. Thus, the Organization reserves this right, previously informing the affected companies and offering an alternative which is appropriate for both parties. 2019, April 28th - May 1st 21 PART 4 RULES & REGULATIONS It is strictly prohibited to carry out any of the following activities either in the booth or in and around the Congress installations: •P resentations, performances and ultimately any activity which includes the use of audio visual equipment at a volume that could disturb/disrupt the rest of the Commercial Exhibition. • Activities that imply the use of catering (drinks, food etc.). • The entry of food and drink is prohibited in all cases. All companies that would like to carry out this kind of activity/initiative should communicate this in writing detailing the activity in order to inform the Organization and to gain the corresponding approval. If you would like to receive a complete description of all possible partnership opportunities or would like to propose a specific form of collaboration not mentioned in the program then please contact the EXPO & Partnership Manager. The Organization reserves the right to offer additional exhibitor and partnership opportunities at a later stage. Accident Prevention: The health and security regulations must be respected at all times in the areas reserved for the Congress. In the booth area the exhibitor assumes complete personal liability and will indemnify in case of non-compliance. Damage to the Venue: The cost of any damage caused to the installations during set up, break down and all the days of the Congress will be assumed by the exhibitor. Loss of or Damage to Exhibited Materials: The Organization does not assume any responsibility nor award any compensation for the possible loss of or damage to exhibited objects regardless of the causes. Termination of Contract: If, due to force majeure and circumstances beyond its control the Congress cannot be held in the mentioned venue or indeed in any other venue, partners agree to not take any legal action against the Organizers. The amount already paid will be refunded, minus the corresponding percentage of the general expenses incurred up until the moment of cancellation.
