SNB Employee Spotlight - Alex Salmon Alex celebrated 5 years with SNB last month, serving as an Assistant Vice President, Loan Officer & Head of Outside Loan Assets. He grew MOVIE NEWS up in Wayne, graduated from WSC, and spent 22 years with the Nebraska Air National Guard, retiring at the rank of Captain. Alex volunteers with Wayne United Way, Wayne Eagles Club and the Wayne High boys golf team. Alex and his wife have two children, and he obviously enjoys woodworking—he built the wooden teller station for our Blue Devil Branch. Congrats on 5 years with the SNB family, Alex! Wayne has great options for you to donate or resell your stuff at our local consignment shops, thrift stores, and more. A full list of where to take odds and ends in Wayne is posted at www.cityofwayne.org/greenteam, and includes batteries, prescription medicines, eye glasses, books, plastic bags, inkjet printer cartridges, and more. Their motto - There is no such thing as waste, only wasted resources. You can recycle for free at the Wayne Recycling & Trash Center, located at 110 Windom St. and open Mon and Fri, 9:00am – 1:30pm, Tue, 11am – 2pm, and Sat, 8:00am – noon. The center accepts glass, cardboard, plastics bottles (no plastic bags), and scrap metal, and has recycling drop offs for local Boy Scout Troop #174 of aluminum cans, newspapers, magazines, and mixed paper. You can also bring your strings of holiday lights to be recycled at the Recycling & Trash Center.
