ABOUT SCOTLAND Scotland Wildlife Park and Zoo Tour - Location • The Cairngorms National Park, part of the Cairngorms mountain range, is the heart of the Scottish Highlands, it is the UK’s largest National Park and is home to the Highland Wildlife Park. • Stirling The City of Stirling provides a brilliant base for two nights for your second part. It’s a city with a deep medieval history, the ancient capital of Scotland and a short drive to the Blair Drummond Safari Park. • Edinburgh Scotland’s capital. Edinburgh Zoo, also part of the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland, is an 80-acre site located on the south facing slopes of Corstorphine Hill, Edinburgh and where you will finish your expedition. ABOUT SCOTLAND Highland Wildlife Park The Highland Wildlife Park (HWP) is home to over 200 amazing animals including native Scottish species as well as rare and endangered animals from the world's mountains and tundra regions. ABOUT SCOTLAND Blair Drummond Safari Park Is a 120-acre (48ha) estate, which has many of it’s 350+ animals roaming freely or in large enclosures. • Safari on private coach, seeing Lions, Zebra, Antelope, Southern White Rhino, Elephant, Giraffe. • Boat safari around an island home to a family of Chimpanzees. • Educational tour and talks with onsite Research Department • Options for an outdoor BBQ lunch. SCOTLAND Edinburgh Zoo Along with HWP, Edinburgh Zoo is also owned by the RZSS. It is a 82-acre (33ha) zoo with over 20 recent conservation projects on site and linked to locations worldwide. How dietary requirements vary between species and individuals based on a variety of factors. ABOUT THE PROJECT Genetic Diversity and Biology RZSS participle in the European Endangered Species Programme and are a member of the European Association of Zoos and Aquaria. They aim to provide genetic data to support conservation breeding and efforts to reintroduced threatened or endangered animals. ABOUT THE PROJECT Sample Itinerary ❖ Day 1 – Flight from Bristol Airport to Inverness Airport, where ❖ Day 4 – Check out of accommodation and transfer by you’ll be greeted by your coach driver for a private transfer coach to Edinburgh, approximately 1.5 hours. ACCOMMODATION & LIFESTYLE Inverness, Stirling & Edinburgh Accommodation All stays are in hostel accommodation, perfectly situated in their respective city centres, so you can explore and enjoy that deserved leisure time. All rooms are private rooms for your group, based on 4-6 people sharing. Bathrooms are shared. All rooms are lockable. Continental Breakfast provided daily. Lunches to be purchased at each location.
