New Year, new beginnings! I hope you haven’t defaulted from your New Year's resolution (s) already! I try to at least give it a solid month before I give up! LOL January 22nd marks the day the Church throughout America prays for the legal protection for unborn children. This is one of the greatest social justice issues that we face in our time, so please pray to end this violent injustice and that God will have mercy on us. “Thank You” to all who helped put the church Christmas decorations away for another year and prepared the church for Ordinary Time. Much appreciated! The outside decorations will come down, when the temperature goes up! Hopefully well before Ash Wednesday! LOL Please consider serving at Mass. We are in need of Altar Servers, Readers, and Greeters at this time. We will work around your schedule and train you. Please see Gerry, Deacon Geoff, or myself after Mass if interested...and “Thank You” to all who currently serve at Mass! Discussions about changing the Sunday Mass schedule have been ongoing as of late. The thought is to move the Sunday, 8:00AM Mass to a later time i.e., 8:30AM or 9:00AM to better serve the parish community’s needs. With this in mind, the possible need to change the 10:30AM to 11:00AM? These suggestions were discussed at the last Parish Council meeting. The process is lengthy and will take time to figure out what’s best. Presently, I am collecting data and opinions. Your input is important, so if you wish, please e-mail me your comments at frdavid@stlawrencegoffstown.org God Love You! Fr. David
