District News/Activities of January’21 Model United Nations Concurrence 2020-21, 9th January 2021 Rotary Peace Fellowship District District Antakshari Program, 23rd Seminar, 18th January 2021 January 2021
Service Projects Annapurna project Date: 01 Jan 2021 Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Femina today celebrated New year with the students of Siksha a school for underprivileged children. Food was distributed amongst the children, which was sponsored by our member Rtn Vinita Sarawagi. Teacher's Training Workshop Date: 05 Jan 2021 Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Femina organized a Literacy Project of Teacher's Training Workshop on Zoom for primary school teachers of government & project schools today. Topic for the Workshop was Effective Teaching Methodology using Smart Phones in the Present Scenario- Using Apps & other Teaching Aids. DSE , East Singhbhum also joined the workshop & he nominated many teachers from government schools to join the workshop. There were 80 teacher participants in the workshop. Teachers who conducted the workshop were from different units of D.B.M.S Schools & College and our own Rotarian Members, which included: 1) Mrs.Kanakadhara SathisKumar- D.B.M.S Girls High School- P School App for Maths 2) Ms.Benazir-D.B.M.S Kadma High School- Zoom App 3) Mrs Sangeeta Kaur: RCJ Femina Member- Photo Editor App- Scratch App 4) Mrs.Neha Bharati- D.B.M.S College of Education- IN Shot App 5) Mrs.Moushumi Dutta- D.B.M.S College of Education- Google Classroom 6) Mrs.Vasanthi Raghuram- RCJ Femina Member- CANVA 7) Mrs.Subha Raghavan- RCJ Femina Member- Teach Mint App The workshop was well appreciated by all participants.Under the able guidance of RCJ Femina President Mrs.Shashi Gadia, the workshop was organized by the Literacy Director Mrs.Sripriya Dharmarajan & Chairperson Mrs.Srividya Narayan.
Service Projects Glimpses of Teacher's Training Workshop
Service Projects Saheli Centre Date: 08 Jan 2021 A Saheli Centre was established at Utkramit Uchch Vidyalaya, Laxminagar by Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Femina.It was inaugurated by District Governor Rtn Rajan Gandotra during OCV. Two new Sewing Machines were provided and also a Sewing teacher was arranged there by our Club for giving vocational training on tailoring and stitching to the girl students of the school and also to the needy and poor ladies residing nearby Library Books Date: 08 Jan 2021 Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Femina donated books in the Library of Utkramit Uchch Vidyalaya Laxminagar In which we have done Happy Happy School project and renovated the Library with Painting and book shelves. Thd Inauguration of the Library was done by DG Rtn Rajan Gandotra.

Renovation of Toilet Block
Date: 11 Jan 2021
Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Femina renovated the Toilet block at
Jamshedpur Girls High School Sakchi including fixing of new wash
basins, painting and beautification work etc. The facility was
officially handed over today by District Governor Rtn Rajan
Gandotra jointly with First Lady Rtn Anju Gandotra and AG Rtn
Alpa Parikh. The Principal, teachers and the students were very
much happy with this facility and thanked Rotary Femina. DG also
appreciated the good work done by Rotary Femina.
Inauguration of WinS
Date: 11 Jan 2021
Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Femina constructed a Hand Wash
Station at Jamshedpur Girls High School Sakchi under Happy School
project. It was inaugurated by District Governor Rtn Rajan
Gandotra allnv with the First Lady Rtn Anju Gandotra and AG Rtn
Alpa Parikh today. The Principal, teachers and students were very
happy with this facility especially during the Covid 19 Pandemic
when hand wash and sanitization is very essential.

Disha, Zonal Meet of Rotaract Clubs of Zone 5
Date: 17 Jan 2021
Our Rotaract Club of DBMS College of Education, hosted Disha-
Zonal Meet of Zone-5 on 17th January 2021, in the college
auditorium. in the gracious presence of Rtn. Pratim Banerjee
DG(E) as cheif guest, Rtr. Tasneem-e-gul DRR as guest of honour,
Rtn. Shashi Gadia President of parent club Rotary Club of
Jamshedpur Femina, Rtr. Akash Sahu ZRR, *Rtr. Harshit Agarwal
ZRS, Rtr. Rinku Kumar DRR AIDE, Mr. B. Chandrashekhar College
President and Dr. Joohi Samarpita College Principal. There were
representatives from all the Rotaract clubs of Zone 5. The event
started with kindling of lamp by District Delegates followed by
welcome speech from host club president. The gathering was
addressed by the DRR Rtr. Tasneem-E-Gul, kind words from Rtn
Shashi Gadia President of Rotary Club ofJamshedpur Femina. The The first session was followed by delicious lunch. In the second
Rotaractors were boosted up with the motivational and half fellowship among the Rotaractors of the zone were conducted
inspirational words from the dynamic DGE Rtn. Pratim Banerjee. by the Event Chairperson in which quiz and antakshri competition
took place. Winner of antakshri was RAC STEEL CITY. The event
was planned and executed under the guidance of club moderator
Mrs. Anjali Ganeshan and college management. Media coverage
was done by: Prabhat Khabar Chamakta Aina, Hindustan I next

Service Projects Dance, Singing and Speech Competition for Interactors Date: 23rd Jan 2021 On the occasion of Republic Day, Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Femina organized a Dance, Singing and Speech Competition for the Interactors of all the five Interact Clubs Sponsored by Rotary Femina on Zoom platform. Theme of the Competition was patriotism. Program was Coordinated by Rtn Meena Bugli, Rtn Srividya and Rtn Sripriya Dharmarajan .The judges were Rtn Geeta Dubey, Soma Ghosh, Rashmi Shig and Sripriya Dharmarajan.The Principal, Moderator and members of Interact Clubs in RMS High School, Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Jamshedpur Girls High School, Shrinath public school and Jamshedpur High School were present. The program was done under the guidance of President Shashi Gadia. Vote of Thanks was given by Subha Raghavan.

Annapurna Project (Distribution of food)
Date: 29th Jan 2021
Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Femina today organized an Annapurma
Project at OLD AGE HOME. We distributed food for the morning
amongst the old people staying there , which was sponsored by
President Shashi Gadia. Our Joint Secretary Monideepa along with
other members and spouse Shiva Shankar Gadia were present on
this occasion.
Pulse Polio Vaccination
Date: 31st Jan 2021
On the occasion of Polio National Immunization Day 31st January,
Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Femina today participated in
Polio Vaccination ( Polio Drops) campaign at various Polio booths
in Bistupur and Contractors Area of Jamshedpur.
