Importance of Parent Partnership

Partnering with parents in early childhood education allows children to see important
people in their lives working together. When children see positive interactions between
parents and educators, they begin to understand the importance of building healthy
relationships. Children feel safer with teachers and staff who are visibly respected and
trusted by their parents, and this allows them to feel comfortable and focus on learning.

Positive partnerships also benefit parents and teachers. Through increased participation,
parents become more comfortable with educators and caregivers. It encourages them to
contribute to the learning of their child in a valuable manner. It also supports the child’s
home learning immensely.

A positive partnership helps parents feel valued and respected. When parents feel valued,
respected, and confident, it’s easier for their children to grow and learn. When teachers
feel respected and trusted by parents, they can better focus on nurturing the children in
their care.

Theme

There’s so much of childhood that is new
and challenging for kids.Using something
as simple as a daily routine card can help
kids to be more grounded and relaxed.
Knowing what is expected of them
brings a sense of relief to chart even
the most carefree child.

A daily routine chart was introduced to
the learners of Olive Trails RBKIS
nursery in order to establish a sense of
responsibility and ownership which
develops confidence and independence
which leads to resilience,purpose and
focus.

Tissue paper art is relaxing and
suitable for children of all ages. It’s so
colourful,easy to manipulate and can
be made into many things.
Our little learners of Olive Trails
RBKIS nursery engaged in the Fold
and dye tissue art in which a regular
triangle folding was done and then a
brush was used to drop colour on the
tissue paper.The paint bleeded which
made stunning patterns and designs
of colourful art on the tissue
paper.The art activity was just
perfect for our little hands which
helped them to strengthen their fine
motor skills and enhanced their
knowledge on math.

World Nature Day

World Nature Conservation Day is
celebrated on 28th July each year. This day
was created to give recognition to how a
healthy environment is the foundation of a
productive and stable society. This day is
perfect for teaching children how to
protect, conserve and manage the earth’s
natural resources.
To commemorate this day,the learners of
Olive Trails RBKIS nursery made bird
feeders with plastic bottles.The activity
taught the learners how to create the best
out of waste and also imbibed the quality of
being kind and compassionate towards the
living creatures living on mother Earth.

World Nature Conservation Day
is yet another important day
that reminds us of the
importance of nature in our lives
and why we need to conserve it.
The day gives us an opportunity
to raise awareness about the
conservation of nature and
encourage sustainability.
Thus, on this day, our little
learners of K1- A, Olive trails-
RBKIS enjoyed making a natural
tiara and promised to protect
the natural resources provided
to us by our Mother Earth and
to use efficiently to maintain
the balance.

Our K2 learners collected
fallen leaves and twigs from
nearby parks or gardens.
They did not hurt any plant
or tree as they care for
these natural gifts. They put
on their imaginary thinking
caps and created beautiful
pictures of insects, flowers,
animals, etc. out of the fallen
leaves and twigs while
enhancing their creativity
and thinking skills.

Friends are the ones who care,
Friends are the ones, who share,
Friends everywhere can be big or
small,
Friends at school are the best of
all.

A Friend is like a Star that
twinkles and glows or may be like
the Ocean that gently flows. A
Friend is like Gold that you
should treasure and take care of
forever and ever.
Learners of Olive Trails RBKIS,
K1 enjoyed celebrating Friendship
Day and making Friendship Bands
for their peers. They were also

Parent Partnership

Guest Speaker Session

Parent partnering with school is
an important aspect of early
years education.
Olive Trails recognises this and
has initiated Guest Speaker
sessions where parents can
volunteer to speak about topics
relevant to the curriculum.
Here we have shared how K2
parents spoke on the Theme
Family and Tradition.
They narrated the significance
of Rajasthani culture, their
family values, lifestyle of people
of Rajasthan, shared images of
Peacocks, farms, Rajasthani
attire, sang rhymes while
motivating children to sing along
with them and much more.
