Daywise Itinerary DELHI TO HARIDWAR (200 KMS/06 HRS DRIVE): Depart from Delhi and reach Haridwar-evening Aarti. Dinner and overnight stay in Hotel Day 1 Note - Tourists coming down from other cities have to reach Delhi max by 8am on the day of departure. The pickup will be from a hotel near Airport (name and address to be found in Tour Vouchers), where guests can freshen up / have breakfast (on their own by paying directly) and join the tour. The vehicles shall depart by 9am from this hotel. It's also advisable that the clients reach Delhi a night prior to the date of departure so as to join the tour comfortably HARIDWAR TO BARKOT - 7 HRS: After breakfast early breakfast, we proceed to Barkot. Barkot is a place of great scenic beauty with spectacular views of snow-capped Day 2 mountains all around. A magnificent view of the eternal snow peaks of Bandar punch can be seen from here. BARKOT - YAMUNOTRI - BARKOT (38KMS/2HRS, LOCAL TAXI DRIVE 7 KMS/1HRS, 6 KMS/3HRS TREK ONE SIDE): Day 3 After early breakfast, we will proceed to Hanumanchatti via Syanachatti (5 Kms. before Hanumanchatti). From here local taxis are available for Jankichatti. From Jankichatti we begin our trek to Yamunotri (6 km/3 hrs) to visit the temple of Goddess Yamuna, situated on the bank of the river. You can take a holy dip in the nearby tank filled by hot springs and cook rice in its water, the common rituals performed by the devotees. We return to Barkot in the evening. Dinner and Overnight stay in Hotel/Camp BARKOT - UTTARKASHI (80 KMS, 3-4 HRS): After breakfast, we will proceed to Harsil - one the most beautiful valleys in the world. Uttarkashi is a small and beautiful town, situated Day 4 between two rivers: Varuna and Ashi, whose water flow into the Bhagirathi from either side of the town. Elevated, at a height of 1588 metres, this little town is very similar to Kashi and Varanasi, in that it has the same kind of temples and ghats and likewise, a north or 'Uttar' facing river. UTTARKASHI - GANGOTRI - UTTARKASHI (95 KMS, 3-4 HRS DRIVE ONE WAY): After early breakfast, we proceed to Gangotri (95 Kms/3 hr). En route stopover at Gangnani, a hot water spring and after proceed to holy Day 5 deep in the River sacred The Ganges, also called Bhagirathi at its origin. Perform pooja and relax in the lovely surrounding. After darshan return to Uttarkashi, Dinner and overnight stay in The Hotel/Camp. UTTARKASHI - GUPTAKASHI (240 KMS/ 8-9 HRS): After early morning breakfast check out from the hotel and drive for Guptkashi. On arrival check in at hotel. GUPTKASHI/SITAPUR - SONPRAYAG - KEDARNATH (30 KM OR 18 KMS DRIVES + 20 KM TREK / 07-08 HRS) Early morning after breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to sonprayag from there, you will start your 20 km trek to Kedarnath, here Day 7 you can hire a doli or a horse, for your trek (cost not included). mandakini, one of the main tributaries of the Ganges originates at Kedarnath and flows through gaurikund trudging with you are pilgrims chanting "jai bholenath." sometimes the mist would envelop the mountains and slowly lift away, revealing a shiny blinding-white peak that threatens to rupture the skies. on arrival check in at govt. camps/lodges. dinner and overnight at govt. camps/lodges. KEDARNATH - SONPARYAG - GUPTKASHI (20 KM TREK DOWN/18 KMS OR 30 KMS DRIVES / 05-10 KMS HOTEL DRIVE): Day 8 Early morning you get up before dawn and after taking bath you will visit Kedarnath Temple. After darshan and puja you come out of the temple and return to the camps / lodges. Later you'll start the return trek of 20 km from kedarnath to sonprayag. The vehicles wait for you in sonprayag car parking and you'll drive to your hotel (sitapur)/guptkashi. Dinner and overnight in Hotel/Camps www.thomascook.in
GUPTKASHI- BADRINATH (190 KMS / 8TO 9 HRS): After early breakfast, you check out of the hotel and drive to Badrinath. After driving through some wonderful ghat road you arrive at Day 9 Badrinath. On arrival check into the hotel. After some rest and refreshments you are all set to go to Badrinath temple for darshan in the evening before you will have to go to Tapt Kund (Hot spring), take bath and then go to the temple. Dedicated to lord vishnu, the temple of shri badrinath ji is 15 meters in height, built in the form of a cone with a small cupola of a gilt bull and spire. Later back to hotel. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel. BADRINATH - JOSHIMATH - RUDRAPARYAG (160 KM / 7 TO 8 HRS) Morning visit to Badrinath Teample. After darshan return back to hotel, breakfast at hotel and proceed for Badrinath local sightseeing visit Day 10 Mana Village, Vyas Gufa Ganesh Gufa, and Mata Murti temple.
