FOREWORD FROM
THE MUSIC DIRECTOR

For more than a year now have we rehearsed online
and with the move to Zoom, we did not only change
the way we make music but also the way we live our
lives and the way we socialise with friends and family,
colleagues and fellow choir members.

Of course, this pandemic rehearsal mode doesn’t
provide the same experience as our meetings in the
Airyhall library. But our weekly rehearsals and, not to
forget, our two online events have shown that the
music hasn’t stopped, and neither has our
commitment to the group and to all the friends we
have made in the choir. For me, it wouldn’t be the
same without the Braeside Singers.

Over the course of the summer, I would like to
explore a range of different themes. This programme
will give you an insight into what to expect from our
sessions. As always, I try to include music and
knowledge from all sorts of different genres and
backgrounds, so that there should be something for
every single one of you to enjoy.

                                                     This is an event for members, family and friends of
                                                     The Braeside Singers community choir. More
                                                     information will be announced closer to the time.

HERE’S HOW TO
CONNECT TO THE
ZOOM EVENTS

Setting up your device for our online events is super
easy. For the best experience use your laptop computer
or any mobile device such as your smartphone or tablet.
These devices are already equipped with a microphone
and camera.

Make sure you are on the choir mailing list and sign up
on the choir website if you haven’t already done so.
You’ll be sent an email with the link to join. Just follow
the instructions after clicking on the link to connect to
the session. Every session can be joined using the same
link.

ALTERNATIVE CONNECTION
Should you have trouble with your internet connection
you can listen in and speak in the session using any
phone. This way you can be sure not to miss any of the
events. Use this method if your internet connection is
unstable or you if you temporarily don’t have access to a
device with microphone and/or webcam. Instructions
are sent out to choir members in an email.
