Standards & Responsibilities General Information USGA rules will govern all play, except where modified by local rules or in tournament terms of competition. Foursomes have the right of way except during club championship matches. Groups larger than 4 players Tuesday’s-Thursday’s will be allowed at the digression of the golf professional staff. Due to the business levels on Friday’s – Sunday’s groups larger than 4 will not be allowed. Golf Attire Men – Collared shirts and appropriate length shorts or trousers. Ladies – Appropriate golf shorts, skirts and blouses. Sleeveless and non-graphic shirts as approved by the professional staff. *Appropriate attire must be worn at all times, to include the regular golf course, The Sink Hole and all practice facilities. Denim, short shorts, mini-skirts, cut-offs, athletic shorts, swimsuits, sweat suits and jogging attire are inappropriate. Only soft soled shoes and golf shoes without spikes are permitted Golf Credit Book (New) Store credit that is earned throughout the year will now expire at the end of the calendar year, December 31, 2023. Any unused credit will not carry over into the following year. Golf Cart Rules Golf carts are restricted to be driven in the fairway only and NOT in the rough and/or native grass areas. Golf carts must remain a minimum of 20 yards away from putting greens. Golf carts are to be operated only by those which hold either a state issued driver’s license or otherwise approved by the professional golf staff. Private and /or personal golf cars are not permitted on the golf course. Reckless driving or violation of these rules may result in forfeiture of golf cart privileges. Course Preservation It is the players responsibility to leave the course in the same condition as found at the beginning of the round. Please make sure all bunkers are raked and replaced in the bunker. In addition, repair all divots in the fairways using sand provided smoothing the sand level with the turf. When making a ball mark on the putting surface please repair the mark. Closing Golf Facilities All golf facilities will be closed to the membership on Monday’s. Tuesday’s following Memorial Day and Labor Day all golf facilities will be closed to the membership. This year the golf facilities will be closed on Wednesday, July 5th. The golf course(s) and practice facilities will be closed by the Director of Agronomy and/or Director of Golf when weather conditions require. The golf course(s) and practice facilities may be closed to non-participants during certain tournaments. Proper notification will be sent out in advance for such cases. The scope of the practice facility includes nearly 12 acres and requires a significant effort to clean pick all the practice balls and allow the agronomy team time to mow on Mondays. Please note the hours of operation section for opening / closing times for the practice facility. The Director of Golf and Director of Agronomy will designate any
closings and/or hitting off artificial turf. Starting Times All play will start on #1 tee no earlier than 7:30am from Memorial Day – Labor Day. Players wanting to start play off #10 must get approval from a golf professional to do so. Starting times will be spaced at 15-minute intervals. The Sink Hole will be open for play Tuesday starting at 4pm and Wednesday – Sunday with the first starting time at 10:00am. The Sink Hole is a walking only facility, golf cars are not permitted. Score Posting Effective January 1, 2023 if you are on the tee sheet and a score is not posted for that day, that player will have a penalty score posted to his/her GHIN record. The score posted will be equal to his/her lowest score on record. Please note this is a policy being implemented by Olde Stone and not the WHS. Tournament Eligibility Resident, Invitational, National and Regional primary members are eligible to participate in member tournaments. Primary members must be 18 years or older in order to participate. Social members are not permitted to participate in member tournaments. All tournament participants must be in good standing and have a valid USGA recognized handicap in order to participate. Tournament Changes Every effort will be made to maintain the 2023 tournament schedule. However, in the event of unforeseen conflicts and/or inclement weather, The Club at Olde Stone reserves the right to make the necessary adjustments regarding the event. All tournament winnings will be in the form of store credit available for redemption for golf merchandise only. Cancellations and No Shows Tournament reservations may be cancelled prior to the registration deadline. Those cancelling after the deadline will be billed one-half the entry fee. Players who do not cancel or fail to show up for an event are subject to payment of the entry fee in full. Registration Complete event details will be sent via email. You can register for any event by going through the club website. All tournament information will be communicated through Golf Genius. (e.g. - two teams tie for 2nd place. Those two teams would equally split the payout of 2nd and 3rd place prize credit). In events that payout both Gross & Net, all ties involving a prize payout will be broken. The method of the tiebreaker will be communicated as a part of the individual tournament details.

Accompanied Guest Fees - $155 per player o Members can host up to seven guests on property at a time. o Guests within a 200-mile radius are limited to four rounds per year. Club tournament and lodge stays do not count. o Junior Guest Fees 16 & Older, Applicable guest fees apply Under 16, $60 (18) & $30 (9) Family Guest Fees - $85 per player o Immediate family members only and must be accompanied by the member. Length Adjustment - $10 per club, plus grip if necessary Men’s Member Guest The high point of the golf calendar takes place over the course of 3 days on June 8th – 10th. We guarantee you will be awed by the events of this weekend. Invite your best partner to join us for competitive golf, exceptional cuisine, plentiful libations and great camaraderie. The tournament field will be limited to 72 teams. Scotty & Rita Cup Team up with a fellow member and compete in this fun filled 2-day competition. We have refreshed the format and will utilize a round robin match play this year. The event will kick-off with a Friday evening function with spouses included. The Rita Cup will be round robin match play utilizing the scramble format. Tweeds and Beads Couples Invitational The Tweeds and Beads Couples Invitational is a 36-hole scramble couples event. Couples are encouraged to invite other couples for a fun weekend of golf and social activities. Men’s Club Championship The Championship Flight will play 36 holes of stroke play. The contestant with the lowest 36-hole gross score will be recognized, as the 2023 Men’s Club Champion Participants. The Championship Flight will play from a mixed teeing area of the Gold / Black yardage. In addition, there will continue to be “club flights” that will compete in gross/net divisions over 36 holes. Club Flights will play from the Blue teeing area. Ladies Club Championship The Ladies Club Championship is a 36-hole competition. The contestant with the lowest 36-hole gross score will be recognized as the 2023 Ladies Club Champion. Gross and Net Prizes will be awarded as well. Men’s Senior Club Championship The Men’s Senior Club Championship is a 36-hole competition. The contestant with the lowest 36-hole gross score will recognized as the 2023 Men’s Senior Club Champion. Gross and Net prizes will be awarded as well. Participants must be 55 years or older on or before July 15th Men’s Super-Senior Club Championship The Men’s Super-Senior Club Championship is a 36-hole competition on. The contestant with the lowest 36-hole gross score will be recognized as the 2023 Men’s Super-Senior Champion. Participants must be 65 years or older on or before September 16th. Ladies Invitational The Ladies Invitational is a 2-person scramble. Team can be comprised of members and/or guests. It is recommended all participants have a USGA handicap.
Masters Four Ball The Masters Four Ball is an 18-hole two person best ball event. Your teams 18-hole best ball score will be added to the selected professional’s score from the final round of the Masters. There will be gross and net winners. Flights will be determined by handicap index. New for this season we will have a member / member division along with a member / guest division. Wyatt’s Revenge Wyatt’s Revenge is a two person 18-hole scramble. The event is open to men and women teams, the golf course will be setup extremely difficult this day. New for this season, we will have a member / member division along with a member / guest division. Memorial Day 2-Man The Memorial Day 2-Man is an 18-hole two-person event. Format will be team stableford points. Awards will be given to gross and net in each flight. Flights will be determined by the team’s total handicap index. New for this season, we will have a member / member division along with a member / guest division. Labor Day 2-Man The Labor Day 2-Man is an 18 hole two-person event. Format will be team stableford points. Awards will be given to gross and net in each flight. Flights will be determined by the team’s total handicap index. New for this season, we will have a member / member division along with a member / guest division. Flag Tournament The Flag Tournament is an individual 18-hole stroke play tournament. Participants will place a flag on the course when he/she reaches their 18-hole handicap, i.e. a 10 handicap will place a flag in the ground where their 82 shot lay. Couples 9 & Dine These events will be 9-hole events with a food and beverage function following golf. Members are encouraged to invite guest couples to participate. This year’s arrangement of events will feature new themes, formats and cuisine. The Battle of Drakes Creek This event will be a season long 2-Person match play tournament. We will seed by combined index. Once the field is established, there will be deadline dates to complete your match. We invite men, women and / or mixed teams to compete in this event.
Distinct 2023 Golf Events Summary Olde Stone Junior Golf Program The golf professional staff will continue to offer a tremendous junior golf program in 2023. The customary offerings will remain the same with PGA Junior League, monthly coaching, Olde Stone 36ers Tour as well as multiple junior camps. This year the golf professionals will use a new platform to manage this ever growing program called Operation 36. As an example, Op 36 will allow the parents to follow their junior progress through an easy to use mobile app along with many cooler and exciting features. Men’s & Ladies League The goal of Men’s & Ladies League is to foster the golfing experience at Olde Stone, to facilitate competition, and to provide golfers an opportunity to play and meet various club members. Play days will be Thursday evenings from April 13 – September 21 and consist of individual and team events. Play day formats will be communicated with weekly correspondence. The Bourbon Barrel The Bourbon Barrel is an annual Ryder Cup style event between The Club at Olde Stone and The Golf Club of Tennessee. The event will take place at The Club at Olde Stone over a period of two days. The Mason Cup The Mason Cup, part of the AJGA’s State Cup Series, is a two-day Ryder Cup-style tournament hosted at The Club at Olde Stone, featuring 22 of the top junior golfers from around the country. U.S. Open Local Qualifier The club will host a local qualifier for the 2023 USGA Men’s U.S. Open on Tuesday, May 16. Registration will be available on the USGA’s website, www.usga.org starting February 22. The Jack Hesler The Jack Hesler Tournament will take place July 23 – 26 and is a major senior amateur event conducted by The Society of Senior Golfers.
