AIA News: SUSPENDED MEMBERS LIST The suspended members for 2021 have been posted on the home page of the AIA website. Please click on “Suspended Members 2021” to review. NOTE: These members are no longer legally entitled to practice agrology in Alberta. Members who continue to practice agrology without a valid practice permit may be subject to findings of unprofessional conduct, fines and a court injunction to cease all agrology work. VOTE NOW! 2021 COUNCIL ELECTIONS Council elections are open until February 10, 2021 at noon. The three candidates are: • Boyd Laing, PAg • Ryan Puhlmann, PAg • Samantha MacKay,PAg Candidate information can be found on your member home page under "2021 Council Election Candidates". The RTAg Alberta Candidate Council position was acclaimed (Drew Lockwood). Support the candidate you feel is best suited for AIA Council whose primary task is to regulate the practice of agrology in Alberta. Allow your voice to be heard! Please log on to your member portal to vote now. 2021 CCP RECORD- NOW OPEN!
The recording/entry capability for the 2021 CCP is now available for member use. This CCP entry delay was to accommodate the current programming capabilities of our CCP program. Thank you for your patience! ANRE PRACTICE STANDARD: 30 DAY REVIEW The second draft of the Agricultural and Natural Resource Economics Practice Standard is ready for member review. Members have 30 days (until March 6th) to submit their comments and suggestions. Please submit your Practice Standard comments to Cassie Hayes, Professional Practice Coordinator. We look forward to receiving your suggestions! AIA WEBINAR SERIES The AIA continues to provide weekly technical webinars for our registered members. 2021 WEBINAR SERIES: UOFA AND ALLTECH The AIA will continue to host a series of technical webinars presented by the University of Alberta's Energy Systems Signature Area for 2021. Topics will include: Remediation, Revegetation, and Reclamation; Renewables and Infrastructure; Indigenous Communities; Wetland Development; and Biomass.
