New York City Christmas Lights Tour
December 8th to 13th, 2022
Thursday, December 8th Day 1 Maritimes - South Portland, ME
Meet your Driver and Tour Director for your New York City Christmas Lights Tour. The tour begins early this
morning in Halifax and will stop to pick up passengers in Dartmouth, Truro, Aulac, Salisbury, Lincoln, and
Woodstock along the way. Transfers are available from Charlottetown, Borden-Carleton, and Saint John. A stop
will be made for lunch at Acorn Restaurant (not included) in Lake George, NB. Your Tour Director will help keep
you busy with games and entertainment on the coach.
This evening you will check in to the Hampton Inn Portland-Airport. The complimentary hotel shuttle can provide
transportation to nearby restaurants and the Maine Mall.
Overnight: Hampton Inn Portland-Airport
Friday, December 9th Day 2 South Portland, ME - New York City Enjoy a complimentary breakfast and meet with your Tour Director. You will check out of the hotel this morning and depart for New York City. Stops will be made for rest breaks and lunch (not included) along the way. Your Tour Director will help pass the time with games and entertainment on the coach. Arrive in Manhattan late this afternoon and check in to the New York Hilton Midtown located on 6th Avenue and start exploring the city. From the hotel, you are within walking distance of Times Square, Radio City Music Hall, Fifth Avenue shopping, the Broadway Theatre district, Central Park, The Museum of Modern Art and tons of great shops and restaurants. Your Tour Director is available to help you with planning your day and finding reservations for attractions, theatre, or museums. Know before you go: Hotel rooms in New York City are typically smaller than rooms in the rest of North America. Your room will still have amenities such as microwave, mini-fridge, coffee machine and more but the room will be slightly smaller. Overnight: New York Hilton Midtown (B) Saturday, December 10th Day 3 New York City For breakfast your Tour Director can provide suggestions to find anything from sit down restaurants to quick grab- and-go options in walking distance of your hotel. Meet your Tour Director to depart on your four-hour guided tour of Manhattan. This tour typically includes the West Side, East Side, Central Park, Times Square, Greenwich Village, Little Italy and Ground Zero (traffic permitting). Your local guide is well-informed and will fill you in on everything you could possibly need to know about New York City. The tour will end at Rockefeller Center this afternoon. The remainder of the day you are free to explore the city. Experience the sights and sounds of Times Square or take a stroll in Central Park. Overnight: New York Hilton Midtown Sunday, December 11th Day 4 New York City For breakfast your Tour Director can provide suggestions to find anything from sit down restaurants to quick grab- and-go options in walking distance of your hotel. Today is a free day to explore New York City. Book a harbour cruise, visit a museum, or shop your day away. Your Tour Director can assist you with planning your day. Monday, December12th Day 5 New York City - South Portland, ME
For breakfast your Tour Director can provide suggestions to find anything from sit down restaurants to quick grab-
and-go options in walking distance of your hotel. Check out of the hotel and meet with your Tour Director. This
morning you say goodbye to New York City and travel to South Portland, ME.
This evening you will check in to the Hampton Inn Portland-Airport. The complimentary hotel shuttle can provide
transportation to nearby restaurants and the Maine Mall.
Overnight: Hampton Inn Portland-Airport
Tuesday, December 13th Day 6 Return Home
Enjoy a complimentary breakfast and meet with your Tour Director. This morning you check out of the hotel and
make your way back home. A stop will be made in Houlton for lunch (not included) and at Duty Free before
crossing the border. No dinner stop has been arranged but you are welcome to grab a snack during one of the rest
stops.
This evening you will arrive home in the Maritimes. Say goodbye to your Driver and Tour Director with many
happy memories of your New York City Christmas Lights Tour.

Activity Level
Travelling with Target Tours requires a certain level of activity in order to enjoy and participate in our tours.
This tour requires the following:
• Walking or standing for extended periods of time
• Lifting and carrying your luggage for short distances
• Climbing multiple sets of stairs
• Walking on uneven surfaces
• Busy sidewalks and crowded areas
• A lot of free time with minimal activities planned
• Able to accommodate walkers, canes, or collapsible wheelchairs
For all tours please remember that the Tour Director is there to assist all members of the group. While they are happy to
provide a helping hand from time to time they are unable to provide mobility assistance for extended periods of time
during a tour. Therefore, all travellers must be able to manage their mobility independently.
Tour Director and Driver
Your Tour Director and Driver play an important role in making your vacation as memorable and hassle-free as possible.
While optional, gratuities are a great way to show your appreciation. The suggested industry guideline is $4.00 to $6.00
per person, per day for your Tour Director and also your Driver. This should be extended on a voluntary and individual
basis at the completion of the tour.
Travel Protection
Your tour price does not include travel protection. If you are covered, we advise you to look into coverage details, if there
is a deductible, if you need to pay up front, and where to call in case of emergency. We highly recommend medical, trip
cancellation and trip interruption coverage. If you would like a quote, please call our office at 1-877-214-5367.
After Booking
• We will send you your receipt and proof of reservation via email or mail.
• Before final payment we will reach out to you via phone or email to remind you of your final balance and
determine final method of payment.
• About 2 - 3 weeks prior to departure we will send you your Detailed Itinerary which will feature exact times and
locations as well as details on your Tour Director.
• Around one week before departure you will be contacted by your Tour Director via email or by phone to
introduce themselves and ask if you have any questions before departure.
